This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of September, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [2988], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will answer the questions regarding this body as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2988]; this we have had before.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) Is there any poisonous waste product in the body which causes the pain? (A) There are two sources causing the pain - the breaking between cerebrospinal and sympathetic, or along the edge of those patches in the lymph circulation - incoordination there, especially in that area just below the breast bone or the diaphragm center. This makes the pain through the body. Then an irritation through the pelvic organs.

For the pelvic organs, use douches at least twice each week; on Tuesdays using a Glyco-Thymoline douche (a tablespoonful to a quart of water), and on Thursdays using an Atomidine douche (a teaspoonful to a quart and a half of water). Use only a Fountain Syringe, and have the water body temperature.

5. (Q) Is there any arthritic deposit or inflammation in the spinal joints? (A) No arthritic deposits. These, as indicated are rather of a sympathetic nature. This is requiring the body-mind itself to center itself on some definite activity.

6. (Q) Are the osteopathic treatments being administered properly? (A) These are very good. To correct more the condition in the coccyx and of the spine will be helpful.

7. (Q) Is there any reason for such slow progress? (A) Read just what has been given. This is in self, see!

8. (Q) Shall I keep taking Atomidine; if so, how much and how often? (A) Take one drop of the Atomidine about three days each week, say Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

9. (Q) Shall I keep taking massage and steam baths? (A) These we would leave off for a while, then after a period of thirty days take them occasionally - say, two or three a month.

10. (Q) Shall I continue with the Welch Grape Juice, even though there is no loss of weight yet? (A) Continue with Welch Grape Juice. If this is taken properly it will make for a change; that is REGULARLY, prepare as has been indicated; not with other than the plain water.

11. (Q) How can I get rid of this constant pain? (A) As indicated here, treating the centers, the lymph centers at the breast bone or at the edge of the diaphragm, correcting the area in the coccyx end of the spine, and using the douches.

12. (Q) What is the specific cause of my illness? (A) Most is in self, as indicated. Get away from being self-centered. There are, of course, pathological conditions, but make those changes in the directing of the mind itself. Center it on some special activity.
