This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [2998], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Tennessee.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [2998], present in this room, and his association with […] in reference to houses to be built in …, Tennessee. You will tell him whether or not he should go ahead with […] in building these houses and whether or not the venture will meet with success. Then you will answer the questions he submits them, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [2998] present in this room.

3. In the physical forces of the body (as we have had here before) we find that there are many improvements. There are better drainages being set up throughout the physical body. And as the applications of the mind and the body are kept in accord with spiritual ideals, better may be the abilities of the physical being and the body-mind of this entity to control the physical disturbances which have existed.

4. It would be well that occasionally there be a cleansing of the superficial circulation. Once in six weeks or something of that nature, do have a good, thorough Swedish massage; including Vapor Baths and a good thorough massage.

5. For the conditions that have caused anxiety through the soft tissue of throat, nasal passages and through the bronchi and lungs, we would prepare an inhalant - and we will find we can control the acidity or those tendencies for cold to affect the body. Prepare this in at least an eight ounce bottle with a large mouth, in which two vents would be put entering the vacuum above the solution, that may be corked. Only the gas or the distillation as evaporation takes place with this combination of elements, would be inhaled into the nostril, through antrum, into the mouth, the throat and bronchi. Inhale so that the gases enter the lungs, not swallowing the fumes. In this bottle put this combination of elements, in the order named:

Grain Alcohol…4 ounces, Oil of Eucalyptus…30 ounces, Rectified Oil of Turp…10 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…20 minims, Tolu in Solution…30 minims.

6. Keep corked, and two or three times a day shake the solution, then take both of the little corks out of the vents. Inhale through one of these into the nostril, first one and then the other; then inhale into the throat - once or twice, just the gases that form by shaking the solution. This will bring much better conditions for the body.

7. As to the associations with […] and the undertakings as we have in the circumstance, there are many problems to be taken into consideration. But do carry through with the building of the houses. Do insist that there shall be certain direct conduct of […] through those periods of activity. For you will find if there is the carrying on at once, you will obtain a great deal of help from and through the Government agencies. Don’t take on others. Do complete these.

9. (Q) Shall I complete one hundred houses or less? (A) The one hundred houses.

10. (Q) What conduct of […] shall I insist upon? (A) The consideration of the whole situations and the keeping of self at work on those jobs.

11. (Q) Will material success come from my association with […]? (A) You may lay the foundation for same. Complete these and then later there will be other situations, but don’t let it become entangled. They may be again entirely separate.

12. (Q) Am I making a mistake to neglect my law practice to enter into this venture with […]? (A) Not for the time being. But don’t let it keep up.

13. (Q) When shall I stop my business association with […]? (A) This depends upon circumstance. Keep this and then keep up with the law practice. And as indicated, change to Dallas.

14. (Q) When will I change to Dallas? (A) Not until the entity chooses will it change. But the time would be in the next Spring of ‘45.

15. (Q) Will that be in connection with my law practice? (A) It will if the body accepts those opportunities that will be made.

16. (Q) Do you recommend that he accept those opportunities? (A) As just indicated, move - that means accepting them.

17. (Q) Is there anything else you can suggest as a plan for the present venture, or any warnings? (A) As indicated follow through with these in the present and you will get help from the Government agencies when and where needed. But do insist upon certain activities of […].

JOHNSON - Rudolph, noted Dallas Attorney, member of the Texas and American Bar Association, died Oct. 8, 1989. He was past president of the International Association of Holiday Inns and was Director Emeritus. He was past president of Civitan and Sertoma Clubs, a member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment and a member of St. Alcuins Church. Survived by wife, Joie Johnson, Dallas’ children, Bud Johnson, Plano, Tom B. Johnson, Memphis, Carol Rand, Oklahoma City, Dulce Gee, Dallas; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Percy Johnson, San Antonio. Memorial services, Tuesday, 1:00 P.M., Sparkman-Hillcrest, Northwest Hwy Chapel. Rev. Albert Toliver officiating. Private internment, Hillcrest Memorial Park.
