This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of June, 1943, in accordance with request made by the friend - Mr. [3344], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Penna.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes.

  3. Conditions are not satisfactory. There should be some changes, as we find.

  4. Keep up those things to give the strength to the body, and not too much of the juices - as these are tending to react with the conditions in the circulation between liver and kidneys. Semi-solids; such as, in addition to the beef juice, strained rice, strained oatmeal, blanc mange, junket. Such as these, we find, will react the better, and the body will retain same better. Not large quantities, and be very mindful that the water that is given carries either a little Saffron or a little slippery elm in same. These kept cool will be better for the body. Make the Saffron water in the form of a weak tea. Put a good pinch of American Saffron in a cup and pour boiling water over it, allowing it to steep for thirty minutes - and then cooled. Alternate this with the elm water, which should only be prepared as it is to be taken. Put a pinch of Powered Elm in a glass of cool water, stir, and drink right away - do not take this after it has stood a while, but only while it is fresh.

  5. Do relax, osteopathically, the areas just above the kidneys, gently. This should aid the activities there.

  6. Keep the body as quiet as possible, and we will find there will be - with this relaxing - less of the lapsing into unconsciousness, or those periods of the mind wandering.

  7. In making the osteopathic administrations, we would make a gentle pressure on the area of the 2nd cervical AND - at the same time - at the end of the coccyx - on opposite sides of the spine, you see. Press these areas very gently - not as jabs, but gentle pressures, held for a few minutes, to get the reaction through the ganglia along the centers of the spine. This will relax the body much better, and will change the reactions. ALSO the same type of pressure at the 3rd cervical and at the end of the spine will be helpful. These done several times a day would be found helpful. These areas have direct connections, you see.

  8. Ready for questions.

  9. (Q) What should be done for bowel elimination? (A) The enemas are the better here.

  10. (Q) Should anything else be done to help retain foods? (A) Changing of these will help; not too much of the foods, but - that is, not too much in quantity, but - a small amount given often.

  11. We are through with this Reading.
