Time of Reading Hotel …, 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Florida. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [313].
-
Some improvements; for the applications of the adjustments and treatments are near in accord with those things that we have indicated for the body.
-
Be careful as to the discharges and keep in line with that which has been indicated respecting same.
-
In the diet, first we would find it advisable to have that which would set the gastric flow of the digestive system in more accord - prepared in this manner:
Lime Water…1/2 ounce, Cinnamon Water…1/2 ounce, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium…5 minims, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium…5 minims.
-
Take for settling the stomach about once or twice a day, until there is no nausea; a teaspoonful of this in about a tablespoonful of water, see?
-
Then the diet would be of the liquids and semi-liquids. At least during a day take, for the strengthening of the body, take at least two tablespoonsful of Beef Juice; not broth but the beef juice prepared as we have given. But do not take the whole quantity at once. Divide it up into at least two to three teaspoonsful at the time, but even this SIPPED very slowly - with whole wheat crackers.
-
Citrous fruit juices, whole wheat cereals, these are very well - but do not take the cereals AND citrous fruit at the same meal. One may be taken of morning and the other in the evening if so desired.
-
Mutton broth or vegetable broth or these combined may be taken. Buttermilk may be taken in small quantities.
-
The Beef Juice, though, should be the greater strengthening diet for the body in the present.
-
Do not begin with solid foods, or those that are not partially or easily digested, until there is more physical activity of the body. GRADUALLY change same when the body begins to become more physically active. But no heavy foods should be taken while confined to the room, or even the house.
-
We are through with this Reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 10/12/37 Husband [228]‘s ltr.:
“Let me tell you first how much I appreciate the good service that you have been performing for us recently. We are truly grateful to you, and we know that the information you have been furnishing is priceless. Furthermore it is meeting with a mighty good reception on the part of the doctor; that is that part of it which pertains to [313].
“For instance, we showed him your telegram about the diet yesterday afternoon during his visit, and he took it away with him, had the druggist prepare it, and this morning brought it back himself. [313] says it’s a BITTER, SOUR dose, and altogether disagreeable, but she is taking it. So that’s that…
“While I am thinking of it, the osteopath - his name is E. W. Flynn [Emmett W. Flynn, D.O.] - wishes to have some of your literature, so if you will send me a goodly supply I shall be glad to turn it over to him. He says that his wife has chronic appendicitis and he is seriously considering asking you to give a reading for her. I have told him some of the unheard-of things that have been attributed to you, but of course I do not remember nor know them all. So far he is lining up with about every suggestion you have made. He obtained the laudanum and aconite solution for us.
“It so happens that just when you were taking your reading [313-12] on the afternoon of the 6th of October [313] was experiencing her pain in the ovary for which you prescribed the immediate use of laudunum-aconite solution and epsom salts packs. A telegram would have been about the only way for it to have been used on that particular occasion, and it had eased up by the time your reading reached here, altho she did have a bit of trouble in that connection or in that area last night, which was completely allayed by the solution and salts as given in your directions. It appears likely that the ovary was perhaps affected by the atomidine douche taken just before the pain started. She did not, however, have any fever at the time, nor has she had any since. She has not had any fever since night before last, and at time it was less than a degree.
“Your full reading about her diet has not come yet, altho we are looking for it soon. The diet that she is using now consists of:
Morning: Meat Juice (Valentines); 10:00 A.M.: two oranges’ juice;
Noon: Neuro-phosphate teaspoonful in three tablespoonfuls of water, until your telegram came, then that bitter dose you suggested; Three tablespoonfuls of pure celery Juice in the same quantity of water, ten minutes after the bitters; One teaspoonful of Valentine’s Meat Juice in three tablespoonfuls of water, ten minutes after the celery;
4:00 P.M.: Juice from two oranges.
Supper: Same as at noon.
Night, late: Either grape juice about three tablespoonfuls, or juice from an orange, depending on inclination - She feels this is required since she is unable to sleep if hungry.
“Incidently, I squeezed about a pint of celery juice from the stalks with a vegetable grinder, and it was some job. Had celery leaves all over the place.
“All in all it seemed to us that the diet that was being used was more or less in harmony with your suggestions already, except that you would suggest that concentrated quinine.
“The doctor just happened to ask if you had ever been in Lorain, Ohio. He said that some one came up there when he was a youngster, and boarded with his mother, or roomed at their house, and that he did some peeping when a psychic demonstration or reading was being given, and he thought it might have been you. He said they lived at 200-8th Street. I told him you had been in Dayton quite a bit, but I did not know about Lorain.”
R2. 10/15/37 EC’s ltr.: “Yes I was in Lorain, Ohio once with our friend Mohr [Frank E. Mohr], but the only reading given there was one afternoon, so did not board anywhere there.”
R3. 10/29/37 Mrs. [313] obtained Ck. Physical 313-14 indicating much improvement.
