This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of October, 1937, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. [228], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

2. While the conditions have not been entirely eradicated, we find the body is on the improve.

3. We would continue, then, with regular periods of the manipulations.

4. When necessary we would use the douches, or when there is the greater irritation.

5. Also we would find it most beneficial to use the violet ray. Not the heat ray but the violet ray [High frequency hand machine, bulb applicator], directly to the body. This would be used at least for three to five minutes every other day, just before retiring or when ready for the evening rest.

6. In the diet, keep those things that are body building but that agree with the body; that is, it will be found that at times those things of different natures do not agree as well. Principally the vegetables should be cooked whenever possible in their OWN juices; rather than with meats or broths or any of the oils or the like, cook them in their OWN juices - as in Patapar Paper.

7. We would find, too, that certain characters of vegetables will be the more healthful; as the Jerusalem artichoke should be a part of the meal at least once or twice a week. The activity of the adrenaline from these will be most beneficial to the system.

8. The White’s Cod Liver Oil Tablets would be helpful also. These we find kept, with a general diet of not too much acid, will make for better body building.

10. (Q) What character of treatments osteopathically should be taken now, and what length periods and what rest periods? (A) Those that make for general draining of the system, especially as related to the lower digestive system and through the pelvic organs of the body. If periods of treatments are kept for three weeks, with then a rest period of three weeks, these would be more active and more helpful. This would allow the body, in the rest periods, to react; and we will find the manipulative forces to be more beneficial.

12. (Q) Any other suggestions at this time? (A) These we would do in the present.
