GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
-
Conditions as we find are very good in many respects, but those tendencies for the accumulations - or crystallization of activities through the system, from the lack of lymph flow - are still indicated at times; in the joints of the fingers, in the wrist and hand, and at times in the ankle, or the extremities - the superficial and deeper circulation.
-
The better manner of keeping these in check is the use of the Epsom Salts Baths, with the rubs, and the watching of the diet.
-
Take an Epsom Salts bath at least once a month, oftener if there is more trouble caused. Fill the tub as full as you can with water, body-temperature, with at least five to ten pounds of Epsom Salts dissolved in same. Lie in this. Add the hot water if necessary, after lying in same for a while. Stay in this for at least twenty to thirty minutes. During this period massage those areas affected.
-
Then, if there is particular pain in the joints, use the Epsom Salts Packs - such as on the fingers or wrist or the like; a saturated solution of Epsom Salts, hot.
-
Follow each of these - whether the Baths or the Packs - with a Peanut Oil rub.
-
Take Olive Oil internally, or a combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil would be well for this body.
-
These as we find, if done, will keep away the cold and, unless there’s overexposure, bring about bettered conditions.
-
For this body, as well as for those associated with same - especially the sister, as we have just indicated, - [See 243-35 for sister, which just preceded 340-44. Also above par. must refer also to her husband, Mr. [348]] we would at least once a week have lamb or pig kidneys as a stew. Mix with this yellow corn meal; that is, for the stew portion. Eat the kidneys as well as the stew portion. A little potato may be used in same, and season quite highly with Cayenne or pod red pepper. Have this at least once a week. This would be good for the body, as well as for the sister.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 11/21/41 “I can’t begin to thank you enough for my reading. It eased my mind considerably. I was getting so stiff in through my shoulders and back of neck that I thought I was in pretty bad shape, but feel better now, so guess I’m alright. Am so thankful for [243]‘s suggestions, too.”
R2. 11/3/42 She requested 243-37 for her sister, and 340-45 for herself seeking help for flare-up of colitis and frequent headaches.
R3. 3/14/43 She obtained Ck. Physical 340-47 giving advice which cured her bursitis.
R4. 3/30/56 TESTIMONIAL given to Grace Huffman by Mrs. Alleyene Meyers (Mrs. Cyril H.) MEMBER 6316 Brookside Drive, Route 3, Alexandria, Va.
“In 1953 read THERE IS A RIVER. Was suffering with bursitis on both sides, and was taking shots from doctor three times a week at $5 a shot. Condition had gotten so bad that could not get arm up to comb hair. Mr. Meyers suggested using remedy given by Edgar Cayce of olive oil one night and peanut oil the next night. Used this for over a year. Prayed and trusted in prayers and Edgar Cayce’s work. Believe healing comes that way. Did not take shots from doctor while using olive oil and peanut oil. Can now do hard physical labor without hurting. There were large calcium knots on back when started using oils. Applied oil and worked in good and all knots left. Left hand was numb and fingers did not move properly. Mr. Meyers and I believe that through meditation and prayer we can receive healing.”
R5. 4/11/72 “During the winter of 1971 I suffered with swollen joints and the pain that goes with it. Just before Christmas I started reading about E. Cayce - started using peanut oil and olive oil. I not only didn’t have pain I was able to enjoy the chill index at 22 degrees below zero! I don’t think I’ve even taken an aspirin, and with my record that is really something.
“I was afraid my doctor only gave me candy coated aspirin. He looked at the swollen joints of my hands and said yes that’s arthritis, too bad! I asked to go to the National Arthritis Clinic, and he wouldn’t send me - and thank God as my system was saved the drugs. To this day I seldom have pain, my swelling has decreased and, Praise the Lord, I am being healed. We have told him, the doctor, of the treatment of oils and he smiles, says it is great if it works for us, but being a medical doctor he couldn’t recommend this type of treatment.”

R6. 7/19/74 Letter from Mary Alice Lackey: “Pleased to say the statement made the winter of 1971 is still true and my fingers are straightening back to normal. I praise the Lord for the healing and the life of Edgar Cayce!”

B2. See especially last rdg. 340-43 on 4/29/40 for arthritis tendencies - “swelling finger joints, soreness, etc.”
B3. 11/1/41 She submitted questions: “What should be done to eliminate soreness in right arm? What causes dry, sore spots on hands and what should be done to relieve same? Is the small amount of coffee a detriment? Should I go back to Sanka Coffee? Should I continue the carrot juice? Do frozen foods contain proper vitamins? Are stainless steel pressure cookers good to use in preparing foods, or do they destroy vitamin content?”
