GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
Now as we find, conditions have improved greater than was indicated they might in the beginning.
-
Still, there are many things which should be considered throughout the corrections. But as we find, those activities that have been used are very good. These are not wholly in keeping with the suggestions as we have indicated, but as these are kept closer to those suggestions, greater will be the results, or better will be the results.
-
Hence we would give, - carry on with those treatments begun.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Of what particularly should body be warned, by organs not functioning properly at the present? (A) Of the accumulations of waste that would form, either of conditions as to become as tumorous or of an indeterminate nature.
Hence those suggestions as indicated, that it would be well for the applications to those affected portions to remove these disturbances.
-
(Q) Are any of the reproductive organs improperly located in body? (A) Not improperly located, but congestion in some of same. NOT functioning nominally.
-
(Q) When and how can body conceive a child? (A) This should be determined better after the corrections have been made, rather than before, see? For their proper relationships, these should be with the body functioning near to normal, and NOT burdened with the cares of daily activities in a physical or mental nature.
-
(Q) Shall mole under left arm be removed and if so, what method? (A) If any method is used at all, use the electrical needle. But if it doesn’t give disturbance, leave it alone!
-
(Q) Is the present condition affecting eyes? If so, what treatments? (A) This is merely a reflex condition, and if the proper precautions are taken, and the use of glasses or reflectors for the activities, these should find better conditions developing as the general physical health improves.
-
(Q) Is there any danger of peritonitis? (A) Is there any danger of tomorrow coming? All of these are superficial! If the proper administrations are made, no! If they are not made, yes!
-
(Q) Is condition of liver affecting the bronchial tubes, right and left? (A) This is a sympathetic condition to same. Apply those things suggested, if we would have corrections.
-
We are through with this Reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 11/6/39 She requested 352-2 for her sister, saying:
“I have been feeling a little better but still not the way I should. However, I know that you can’t cure in a week or a month what it took years to develop and so I am being patient and hoping for the best.”
P.S. “I wonder when I should think of getting a ck. rdg.? When do you think I should?”
R2. 11/9/39 EC’s letter: “Just let me know when you wish the check-up. Will get it in the very first chance, when you wish it.”
R3. 11/21/39 “I have been feeling much better. I should have stopped working before this, I know, but I shall - at the end of the month - and know that I will continue to feel much better when I am home. I do want a ck. rdg., however.”
R4. 2/5/4O “I’m not working now and the sense of freedom is wonderful. I feel and look ever so much better. This is the first real rest I’ve had in years and I surely needed it after working in that ‘prison’. It was exactly like a jail sentence to me… I believe Dr. Backman has really helped me a great deal. He is a most unusual man - a deep thinker, a very learned man and a most simple and direct manner. I think a great deal of him. He has helped my eyes a great deal. Other doctors had noticed that they protruded but he is the only one who has helped them by the means of a very simple treatment - bathing them in cold water twice a day.
He feels your diagnoses are always correct, as they really are, and he works with you lOO%. You have a very good friend in him.”
