GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

EC: Yes, here we find a condition of phlebitis and a dropsical condition that extends even to the lower abdominal area.

Under the direction of a homeopathic physician we would add those properties of cimex lectularius. This should alleviate this condition. For there is some resistance here being kept in the body.

R1. 2/3/78 GD’s note: We did not hear again. Since the young man (or child) was in a hospital, I am not surprised that the reading was so brief. Besides, two other first readings were given that morning [2246-2 and 3571-1]. Edgar Cayce was swamped, besides being ill himself. It was always difficult to get a reading followed in a hospital, and I suppose it was foreseen that nothing would be done. The father no doubt was expecting a miracle, after reading the September 1943 Coronet magazine article, MIRACLE MAN OF VIRGINIA BEACH, by Margueritte Harmon Bro.
