This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce in Selma, Alabama, on the 18th day of February, 1923.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. Now we find the conditions in the body very much of the same as when we had them here before. There is not quite as much of the plethora condition in portions of the body as we had, while the abrasions show some excessive secretions of discharge. This we find in the nature of the system attempting to eliminate through these channels. We must prevent (as we have given) these conditions becoming malignant, and must keep the elimination going properly through the eliminating organs.

2. We should have deeper manipulation of the osteopathic forces, in and about these portions of the body that cause elimination: through the digestive, through the liver, and the whole hepatic circulation; those of the liver and kidneys especially.

3. Sweats would be better for the body than vapor entirely for the respiratory organs, and the effect to the capillaries.

4. The amount of the atropine about the puernerial [perineurial?] glands or umbilicus, should be increased or diminished according to the condition in the excretory system in its functioning.

5. The washing or cleansing of the abrasions should be of an alkaline rather than an acid solution. Keep more and stronger solution of the plantain and butterfat for the abrasions itself, so we may have the effect, both direct and influenced by the reaction of these over the system. Use rather the plantain in its original state rather than the dried.

6. Let the diet be not of meats or too much sweets, but of vegetables and fruits - no tomatoes or strawberries - any other fruits of the acid state. But vegetable matter of all character. Let it be changed entirely so that the body receives influence of all. Cooked well, but not with fats. Season well, but not with black pepper, but with salt and cayenne.

7. Keep as we have given and we will find after the next cycle will eliminate conditions from the body, and the body will become of the normal development.* [3751].
