This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce in San Saba, Texas on the 20th day of April, 1923.

Time of Reading 11:30 A. M. Dayton, Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: The conditions are somewhat better than when we last had it, yet the outline as given has not been followed out, you see, so do not have the elimination as properly as we should or would under the conditions and vibrations and applications as we have given, see. Do those.

2. (Q) Why are the conditions in this body not as good as when you had it before? (A) We have just given they are better, you see.

3. (Q) Why do the parents of this body think he is worse than when you had it before? (A) They don’t.

4. (Q) Is the Plantain Root being made up properly and properly applied? (A) Not of sufficient strength as we have given, you see, to corral or SERIGATE [segregate] the conditions sufficient, see.

5. (Q) What druggist should they have to put this up correctly? (A) They have one. He will fix it.

6. (Q) What kind of electric vibration is indicated in previous reading? Should this be Violet Ray with the amperes out and how often and how long a time at each treatment should it be used and should it be used over the entire body? (A) We have given the kind and form and where it shall be used, how much and how long. Follow those out. It is not the best for the violet ray to be used when the other [Abrams Machine?] is possible to be done, see. Without that possibility the violet ray would be the next best thing to use.

7. (Q) Will they know just how to use this other treatment, the Abriam [Abrams] treatment? (A) Yes, the one who gives the treatment will understand. This body would not, see, it is in the developing stage, child, see.

8. (Q) Should this Abriam [Abrams] treatment be used over the entire body? (A) No, you see, it has been given how it should be used. This is vibration and comes to these centers here, where the body is affected. They will be used in conjunction with the osteopathic treatment and the injection, just as we have given. They are to affect the perfect elimination and SERIGATION [segregation?] and afflicted portions of the cellular forces in this body. Do as we have given if we would bring the best results to this body. We are through.

9. (Q) Mr. Cayce, will you please answer one more question? (A) We are through.

10. (Q) Would it be possible for the tumor or abrasion on the left eye to be removed by a surgical operation? (A) We are through.

R1. 4/25/23 [3751]‘s father [5759]‘s letter to EC:

”…I wish to acknowledge with many, many thanks receipt of your letters of April 18th and April 20th, enclosing the readings on [3751]. I note all you say and am negotiating with Dr. Palmer [H. E. Palmer, M.D.] of this city in regard to the demonstration of the electronic treatments. As far as possible I think we can determine just about what is meant, although there is one point which we are not very clear on, which is as follows: In the previous reading received before these most recent ones, and where the electric treatments were first mentioned, you state that there should also be given to the body Balsam of Tolu, heavy turp from white pine, and Balsam of cinchona. The reading also indicates that the above should be taken through inhalation by the electronic application.

“On inquiry I ascertained that the electric treatments, as used in the Abriam [Abrams] method, do not provide anything of this kind but there are certain attachments with the violet ray machine which can be used for this purpose, but in view of the fact that violet ray is not recommended, some little doubt exists as to how to use the items prescribed (balsam of Tolu, etc.).

“I appreciate your kind expression of your interest in this case, and can assure you that I am not going to trouble you any more than I consider absolutely necessary, although of course you can readily understand the extreme anxiety which this matter causes both Mrs. [2553] and myself, and especially in view of the fact, that the case has been running now for seven months, and after all our efforts that no greater progress is made. I know however, that you will do all in your power to restore the boy to normal, and am still confident that with your continued cooperation and assistance, there is a chance of achieving this end. Nothing, however, would please both Mrs. [2553] and the writer so much as for you to come to Dayton and personally superintend and work on the case, and I am certainly living in hopes of seeing you here within the next thirty days as stated in your letter of April 18th…”
