Personally appeared before me a Notary Public for an in said state and county as shown above, Mr. H. P. Salter [2903] of the George Bennie Mfg. Co. who upon being duly sworn states that he is personally acquainted with Mr. Edgar Cayce of Selma Ala. and Mr. David E. Kahn of Lexington Ky. and that upon their recent trip to Nashville Tenn. they gave me the following readings with results as will be shown.
That he owned two hundred units of stock in the Pritchett-Thomas Oil Co’s William Walters lease [3777-5] at Bowling Green where they were drilling for oil and that said readings advised no oil in paying quantities would be found where drilling although drilling was near producing well on adjoining property and although the well has been drilled out it has turned out just as Mr. Cayce said it would and against the expectations of the entire Company.
Again said Salter and friend Williams thought there might be oil on Tennessee land [3777-6] that might be produced cheap and Mr. Cayce’s reading in giving the location of oil on the property gave locations of buildings, lots, a broken down gate, ravines and other data in saying just where the wells should be put down to get oil in quantity that only one who was familiar with the place could have told. Mr. Williams thought he must have been reading his mind but for data given that Mr. Williams did not know of until he later made a trip and found conditions as Mr. Cayce had described. Mr. Cayce had never been within a hundred miles of the property.
Mr. Cayce gave a reading on Mr. Salter’s wife and not only described her condition and treatment but said where she should go for treatment, - Still Hildreth Osteopathic Sanatarium at Macon Mo. and it is his understanding that even Mr. Cayce did not know the name of such institution until the matter was later investigated.
Mr. Salter has known Mr. Cayce for the past 18 or 20 years and not only considers him to be a a man of most wonderful powers but a gentleman of the highest integrity.
