  1. GC: You will have before you the treasure buried near what is now Kelly’s Ford, Culpepper County, Virginia, and the work done yesterday, April 15, 1931, by A. C. Preston, O. H. Snyder and son, Hugh Lynn Cayce and Gray Salter, attempting to locate this treasure. Please give them advice in a way and manner that will be understandable, considering the property as it now lies, as to how to proceed to locate this treasure. You will answer the questions which they will ask.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the operations that have been made in search for treasure at Kelly’s Ford - see Preston, Snyder, Hugh Lynn Cayce, Gray Salter.

  3. As we find, in the second location as was made - this has been excavated to the west and the south from where the treasure, or greater portion, will be found - where there are indications of burned wood, ashes, and the like. Will there be the checking of this location with the vibrating machine, it will outline for them the location where this may be found - see? Ready for questions.

  4. (Q) How deep is treasure from top of the ground in its present condition? (A) From three to three and a half feet.

  5. (Q) How many feet from present - (A) Locate same with machine, rather than trying to measure from here - because it’s scattered about - where the ashes were.

  6. (Q) Have we been using the instrument correctly? If not, how should it be used? (A) Make same for the depths that do not extend so deep - see? In other respects, very good - but atmospheric conditions have interfered, though the atmosphere, time and period show for indications from emanations - as has been seen. This, while not in the exact spot, is where they should use instrument for locating - see?

  7. (Q) What is indicted by the instrument in the second location on top of the small mound not yet dug into? (A) This where there will be found portions of that which will be very interesting.

  8. (Q) Was the gray light we saw near the first hole dug an indication of the location of treasure? (A) Indicator of those emanations, as has been described, from treasure buried.

  9. (Q) Any other advice to these? (A) Follow these as we have given - see. We are through for the present.
