This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of May, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [391], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [934] and L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading 11:35 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes. We have the body body, [391]; this we have had before.

  2. As we find, there are changes; some are for the improvements, others show a distortion of the activities in relationships to the eliminating system of the body.

  3. We would keep those things that have been indicated for the body-relief; that is, those properties taken internally as the tonic, see? These we would keep CONSISTENTLY.

  4. In making applications for the relief of those pains across the kidney area and through the alimentary canal, we would find it would be well that there be a stirring of the activities of the liver as related to the general eliminating and assimilating system; but being mindful that this is done in such a manner as to make for the ACTIVITY THROUGH the whole of the alimentary canal.

  5. We would begin, then, with the Castoria - Fletcher’s Castoria; this taken along with the other properties in the tonic, you see. Take about half a teaspoonful every half hour until have been at least TWO evacuations from the alimentary canal by the activities OF the Castoria. This will require more than one small-sized bottle, you see. These properties, taken in this way and manner, will work upon the activity of the kidneys AND the liver.

  6. When the pains are across the abdomen and the kidney area we would apply HEAT - in any manner; preferably with oils that will make for a stimulation to the superficial circulation, as an equal quantity of the Mutton Suet or Mutton Tallow, Turpentine, Camphor, and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Stir together well and massage what the body will absorb; applying afterward the heat either from hot salt bags or from an electric pad. This would bring ease for these conditions.

  7. In the diet, have those things that are STRENGTHENING but that are easy of assimilation.

  8. Do these, and in three to four days we should see quite a difference in the general reaction.

  9. Ready for questions.

  10. (Q) How can I relieve the swelling and pain in the testicles? [acute catarrhal cystitis?] (A) By the application of heat. When making the application upon the secret organs, use cloths wrung out of the atomic iodine (Atomidine); weakened, to be sure, but apply the heat - to hold the heat - and these will make for easing. Proportion one to four. Do that.

  11. (Q) Is the condition contagious? (A) Rather infectious than contagious.

  12. (Q) Can anyone else get it from me? (A) Infectious means that it IS infectious; it CAN be.

  13. (Q) What kind of vegetables would be best for the body? (A) Those that are of the leafy variety are the better, though they may be combined with some of those, of course, that are of the pod variety - such as beans, peas and the like.

Do these things as we have indicated, and we should find the relief coming soon.

  1. We are through for the present.
