This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the New Southern Hotel, Parlor L, Columbus, Ohio, this 4th day of September, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [3980].

Time of Reading 10:30 A. M. …, Ohio.

1. GD: You will give a physical reading, answering the following questions: The doctor says this body is unable to bear children, that she is sub-normal. Please tell us if this is true. You will give the cause of this defect, if any, also the treatment for same. Why is the menstrual period unnatural? If these conditions can be corrected, how long will it be before this body can bear children? You will speak very slowly and distinctly.

2. EC: Now, we find the physical conditions in this body very good in many respects. There are some abnormal conditions regarding the glands of reproduction, and these have somewhat to do with the condition of the body at menstrual periods, for with the abnormal condition in the endoderm glands, [adrenal? endocrine?] and in the lactic glands, this produces the condition as is shown in the menstrual flow, for this becomes abnormal. The condition is such, however, that this may be corrected, and the body may be brought to the condition where conception will take place in the normal manner, for the cause of this condition dates back to a time when we had congestion produced from cold, and a neuralgia condition, in the Fallopian Tubes, and affecting the genitation, or gestation, in system. This has left the constant flow through Fallopian Tubes of an unnatural condition as exists.

3. To give then the proper vibration, we would take the injection, hypodermically, of the gland necessary to produce the incentive of the genitation in system. Necessary that at least three such injections be made in the body, and taking the vibration as would be found in the violet ray, with that applicator that is used as the vaginal applicator, or that projecting into the vagina, using a low current and keeping such application at least every day for three to five minutes. Also give the stoops [stupes], or prepare properties in this manner:

4. To a gallon and a half of very hot water in a pail, or container over which the body may sit, add one ounce of Tincture of Myrrh, and 30 grains of Balsam of Tolu. Let this be covered until Tolu is dissolved. Then let the body sit over this and the steam from same enter the pubes and to the parts of body. This will add to the incentive to produce in the system the conditions necessary to bring about conception. This we will find can be completed within four to six months. Not necessary that this be used continually, but use consistently with the conditions as the body improves from the injection, which would be taken, and the vibration from the violet ray. Do that for these conditions, and we will find that the first child will be a girl that will be born to this body, [3980].

R1. 9/16/24 Letter from husband [3981] to EC requesting his Physical Reading: ”…As you know my wife’s doctoring is costing me around $50.00 all told. She is taking the two treatments but I am having trouble getting one part for violet ray but am assured of getting it this week. Will write and let you know about her case a little later. She is sure pleased and if said faith means anything in this case she should be cured as she believes heart and soul in it…”

R2. 10/22/24 Letter from [3980] to EC: “Just a few lines to let you know I am still holding faith in you, and also taking the treatments as you suggested in my reading made Sept 4 in Columbus, Ohio, as near as I can. I haven’t as yet got any results. Perhaps I have not taken the treatments as I should. Would you please let me know. You said I should let you know how I was getting along so that is why I am writing. Also let me know about the injections to be taken hypodermically. The Dr. who gave me 3 hypodermics said I should take more he thought. But I did not as you only stated 3 in the reading.

I have been suffering since Sun. Oct. 19th with kidney trouble. The Dr. states, it is because of my condition. Please tell me if this is true.
