This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 8th day of June, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [3980].

1. GC: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find the general condition in this body somewhat improved from that as we have had here before. While there are conditions still abnormal, and while the depressions as have come to the body recently, through taxation mentally, and through the temperature and strains under which the body has labored, the body is improved from that as we have had, and we only need to carry out those suggestions as have been given for the body, taking the adjustments necessary for the system to function nominally, taking those injections as will give the incentive for the system to function normal, taking those properties, those exercises, those outlines of treatment as have been given. Follow those in a consistent manner with the physical attributes of the body, taking into consideration the conditions surrounding the body, and we will bring the normal conditions for this body.

R1. 11/2/25 Letter [requesting a physical rdg. for friend Mrs. [4890]]: “I am feeling as well as can be expected. My husband [3981] is selling … for the … Co. and I have full charge of the store now. I don’t think I can be completely cured until I get out of the store and not be on my feet so much, as you told me… Have told several about your work and how it has helped me.”

R2. 11/6/25 EC’s letter to [3980]:

Dear Mrs. [3980]:

Yours of the 2nd was forwarded me here. I’m very glad to hear from you and to know that you are getting along so nicely, and I certainly am in hopes that you continue to do so. I’m surely glad to know that the suggestions as were given for you have proven such that it gives you faith and confidence in the work that we are trying to do, for it is our desire for people to have this confidence - not so much in us as individuals, but as for the work that we are trying to do, for I believe it is the awakening of the truth of the Spirit of God that is within each and everyone of us that is only trying to manifest itself through ourselves, as individuals, and if this work can awaken these possibilities, then we are succeeding in what we are trying to do.

We shall certainly be very glad to make an appointment for your friend, [4890], and I certainly hope and trust that we shall be able to give those suggestions that will prove most beneficial to her. You will see from the enclosed card and date and hour as set, and as you know, it is necessary we have her full name and the address at which she will be on the date and hour as is given, and have her, please, return this card at once, that we may know that this is a satisfactory time for her.

Thanking you for your interest and assuring you that we are glad to hear from you at any time, and you know if anything arises that you would like to ask us about, we shall appreciate your letting us hear from you.

As you will notice, we have moved from Dayton, Ohio, to Virginia Beach. Not just to be moving about, but for some time the work itself has given this as the most satisfactory place to work from. So we are led to believe that we will be more able to serve mankind from here, and we trust in a better and more satisfactory manner.

R4. 1/19/26 [3980]‘s letter to EC:

.., Ohio

Dear Mr. Cayce:

No doubt you will be surprised getting a letter from … Well we are living here now, having lost the store in … Mr. [3981] is working for the … Co. now.

We are both feeling fine but I have one question I wish to ask you. I went to a doctor and he examined me and told me I was pregnant. The same Dr. told me this that gave me the injections you prescribed. This is so hard for me to believe. Unless you tell me it is so. I am hoping and praying he is right. Will you please tell me as soon as possible if he is right?

We just moved to Newark two weeks ago and think I have another customer for you. She is a lady who is like I was.

Hoping to hear from you soon, I remain as ever

R5. 1/28/26 EC’s letter to [3980]:

My dear Mrs. [3980]

I certainly was surprised to have your letter of the 19th from … I hope the change though is satisfactory to you both, and I’m sure, under the conditions, it is going to be better for you. It certainly is a great deal of pleasure to know that the desire of your heart, for both you and Mr. [3981] is to be fulfilled. I’m sure this is gratifying, and that you both are thankful to the Giver of all good and perfect Gifts for this great responsibility He is giving to you. I’m sure you know already many of the physical conditions that are to be met respecting this condition; yet it is a pleasure to you to be given this opportunity of giving to the world your own self, and I’m sure you realize, as God has given you this privilege of manifesting your own physical body, in flesh and blood, to the world, you realize that He expects YOU to manifest in Spirit and in Truth the reflection of Him in the life you live, and in your actions toward your fellow man, and especially to this child who is dependent upon you for Life, for Health, and for its Conception of Life in the world. I certainly thank you for letting me know of this. I’m glad to know that you are both feeling good and fine. I hope you will continue so. You know I’ll be glad to offer any suggestions in any way possible that will be of help, and I certainly appreciate you and Mr. [3981] letting me hear from you from time to time.

R6. 3/9/26 [3980]‘s letter to EC:

Dear Sir:

Expect you will be pretty much surprised to hear from me again so soon. I admit I am rather a nuisance. But I come to you always because my faith is in you.

To my sorrow I have found, I am not to be honored in the way I wrote you a few weeks ago. It seems very discouraging but I am trying to look at it on the bright side. I don’t believe I am any more disappointed than my husband; but yet we haven’t given up hopes for we know you can tell us what to do at this time.

Do you think it necessary at this time to make another reading and find out the conditions of the body and the treatments I should take now?

I saw Mrs. Iams last sunday and she thought I should write you and explain things to you. I always hesitate to write you so much for I have troubled you so much. Hope the time will come some day when I can do as much for you as you have done for me. Let us hear from you real soon. This leaves both of us well although very disappointed.
