This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 29th day of October, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [3980].

Time of Reading 12:50 P. M. Dayton Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, telling whether the treatments have been, and are being, given as fully and completely as should be, and whether there are any other treatments that should be given the body at this time. You will also answer any questions relative to this body that I may ask.

2. EC: Now we find in many respects the physical conditions in this body are better than when we had them before.

3. The treatments as have been accorded the body, and are being given, in many ways are in the right manner, though not as fully as should be.

4. The violet ray, we find, has not been given properly at all times. Not as much of the vibration, neither has the applicator been projected sufficiently far in the vagina to reach those portions of the system that should receive the vibration, for the womb and tubes must be rejuvenated by this vibration.

5. We find also that the injections (endoderm) [endocrine?] have not been of sufficient number. The three are proper at and to the present time.

6. The stupes [sitz?] have not been taken regularly, neither has the water been of sufficient high temperature, and these had preferably be taken in enamel ware, that we have the correct vibrations for the system and not changing the temperature and the ozones and fumes as thrown off from the properties placed in water, and with these conditions we would at this time, before the other injections are taken, correct chiropractically or osteopathically, preferably chiropractically, if these are done properly, the condition in the lower lumbar and sacral region and coccyx.

7. This, when given at least twice each week, for five to six treatments, will change the body’s vibrations sufficient so that the injections will have the direct influence upon the genitive organism.

8. The body should not be so much on its feet, or so active while these are being taken. Rest more. Sleep more. These must be accorded the system that the rebuilding in the system, and the recuperation as is given through the treatments accorded, will find their incentives to coordinate with the body throughout.

9. Do that, and we will find we will bring this body to that condition as desired.

10. (Q) What causes the trouble with the kidneys? (A) The standing on the feet, reducing the circulation to the lower portion of body and producing pressure through the lower part of the hepatic circulation, which brings strains on kidneys. Hence the reason for not so much on feet, or lifting, and that the adjustments necessary in the lumbar and sacral region be given to stimulate circulation properly, and not produce strain on kidneys.

R1. 10/29/24 Letter from EC to Mrs. [3980]: “I am enclosing you, herewith, copy of the reading as gotten this morning. I believe the questions that you desire to know are answered rather fully. You will notice there is some little difference in the way the violet ray is to be prepared and used, also the stupes, and too there is at this time suggested that the chiropractic adjustments in certain portions of the body be made, that the other conditions being accorded the body would be more effective, and after this has been done there should be more of the injections. Also there is more warning regarding your activities while taking these treatments, as we find that this is that producing the trouble with the kidneys. I feel sure that when you have followed out these suggestions, and as you do follow them out, you are going to find your condition on the improve.

Would be glad to hear from you from time to time, and assure you we would like to keep up with the treatments and see that you get the desired results.

R2. 5/28/25 Letter from [3980] to EC: “I expect you think I have lost my faith in you but ‘never’. I really am ashamed to write you because I haven’t followed out your instructions.

First of all [3981] had a terrible accident Dec. 31st, while out hunting rabbits he [3981] accidentally shot himself, losing the part of two fingers on the left hand, and six shot lodging in his side. It was quite a while before he was able to be about in the store.

Up to that time I was getting along fine and am feeling fine now but I know I am not well yet. I am just wondering whether I should continue to take the same treatments or should I have another reading made. I expect it would be better to make another reading. You can make it at any time. I will be in … every day except Sat. (Dec. Day) and Sunday. Let me know what you think would be best for me and I will start the treatments at once. This time I hope nothing will interfere. Hoping to hear from you soon…”
