Protestant) This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of January, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [412], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [412], NYC., who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his life and work. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [412]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, as has been indicated for this body, those activities of the uniforms and their preparations for groups and organizations have been and are the line of endeavor in which the body may make the better material success. These also offer outlets wherein the spiritual and mental abilities of the body may find the opportunities for an expression that will give the entity the privilege of being a channel of helpfulness, of blessings, - yea, even of hope, - to many.

4. While the conditions that are arising and that have arisen in the land may cause anxieties in many directions, and while it may require curtailment in expansions, these still - as we find - are those channels for the better activities of this body AND associates.

5. Do not lose sight of, nor put too oft into the background, those opportunities for lessons that may be learned, or that may be given to others, in SPIRITUAL understanding. Not as propaganda of any sort, for this or that cult, schism or ism, but as the principles of the CHRIST manifested daily in the dealings one with another.

6. Here as we find are things to be considered, and measures may be taken, - not to become as organizer of any particular GROUP. But there will be the tendency in many places for some form of military activity in the high schools. WHEREVER this is (and encourage same), for such bands and for such schools consider these as potential outlets and factors to be considered. And these activities would give this entity and associates priorities oft when others MIGHT not receive as much consideration.

8. (Q) Considering increased taxes, and expenses, unions, material shortage, etc., would it be best to continue in the present business or would it be best to liquidate the business? (A) As has been indicated, continue. It may necessitate some curtailments. It may necessitate, when the present lease has expired, even to move - and this would be advisable; NOT from this surrounding, but to some such as the adjoining towns, where labor as well as connections for the general production would still not be prohibitive for this association.

9. (Q) Would you suggest a location, giving State and City, considering manufacturing problems and sources of supply? (A) As just indicated, not away from the environs, but in the nearby surroundings - where there is STILL the opportunity for all the connections, but cheaper rent, less taxation, and the like.

10. (Q) Any suggestions as to how business could possibly continue its present activities with schools during the war? (A) As has been indicated, there may be the necessity for some curtailments in general or wide expansion. But in all of those groups where there has been the activity thus far, there may be held the business and other business obtained that will make even as good or better general business than has been in the last year - or more than in the last year - as much as in the last two years.

11. (Q) Would it be wise, under the circumstances, and also considering the possibility of draft, to train [641] into office work (at present a salesman in the South)? (A) If this is as a whole or part time consideration, we find it would be well. If it is either the whole or part time, it would be rather in THESE forms, as we find, - the training for the office or some portions of same, but KEEPING HIM IN CLOSE TOUCH WITH THE TRADE! For, the abilities to make contacts already begun, and in closing many of those where requests come from various sections for such activities, are well.

12. (Q) In what department would he fit into the office? (A) Well, this naturally answers itself! That connected or having to do with the contact to the field also, and this has a special place!

13. (Q) What organizations should the business concentrate on supplying uniforms to at the present which have gotten or will get a priority rating? (A) Bands and all trainings in the various groups in high schools.

14. (Q) Should the business sponsor a national student military cadet corps in schools as has been discussed? (A) Keep away from any connection with or sponsoring of organizations, but rather keep in close touch with and supply TO those where such have been or may be organized.

15. (Q) Is the present location of business safe until the expiration of the lease (Jan. 1943)? (A) As indicated, after that period change to other environs, - these on the mainland, not on Manhattan Island.

16. (Q) Any other advice that would be of benefit? (A) Do not forget - in the material and in the mental - the spiritual basis; that the mental is the builder and that the results are according to the choice ye have made.

17. We are through for the present.
