B1. 6/11/28 Mr. Bacon’s wire: “[943] and Thomas myself working on your work to [943] for your cause and our success together they in Florida I in Louisiana. I have blocked three thousand acres round section 30 and well in section 18 township 21 north range 6 east per your report to [943] about Feb. 1st and report April 7th. About ready to go but the Texas company well in section 15 township 21 north range 7 east have taken core at three thousand feet containing oil sand and oil. People are on a mad rush to buy around there [their] well which is ten miles northeast of our well and block. Wire collect quick yes or no report at once. Question will Texas well be a producer of oil how large give depth sections township and ranges field covers and best sections to tie up between our block and around well for our cause. Quick answer before they drill in. All in Morehouse Parish Louisiana east of Bastrop.”
B2. 6/11/28 Mr. [943]‘s wire to EC: “Bacon has all information needed Louisiana field at present. Has worried me to ask you for another reading there but have refused to ask you, think it not necessary. Sorry that he deemed it necessary to bother you. Please advise him take matter up with me.”
B3. 6/12/28 Mr. [943]‘s letter: “Bacon is an old oil and gas man and at first I thought that he could do something and upon his recommendations I put out the money to organize the Southern Oil & Gas Co. and gave him some money for expenses and that has been many months ago and at this writing he has not produced anything. The reading which you gave on the La. fields he has and that reading gives all the information necessary until he starts operation, don’t you think. He is supposed to have about 500 acres under lease there in the name of the Southern Oil & Gas Co. and I have been trying to obtain a list of the leases for the last 3-4 months but have been unable to get it and I cannot see the wisdom, Mr. Cayce, in giving him more information when we do not know just how he is going to use it.”
B4. 6/14/28 Mr. Bacon’s lengthy letter explaining his sincerity and asking for a reading on all adjoining properties, etc.
