Reports & Follow-up
R1. Rdgs. 4203-3 & 5741-12 were volunteered.
R2. 6/23/28 EC’s ltr. to Mr. [943]:
My Dear Mr. [943]-
I have yours of the 7th and 12th. You by now have the information gotten a few days ago. I also received the wire this morning about the reading for the Louisiana proposition. As I wired back, we will get it the first of the week - which is the very first opportunity. Certainly hope it may be of service to you. [See 4203-4.]
I don’t know what to say, Mr. [943], about the treasure. I don’t understand it - that’s what I’ve said all along. You may use your own discretion as to how this will be used, or whether you use it at all or not. It’s hard to understand, its hard to know, just why we don’t get in so many words information definite enough for one to make the location; though of course I BELIEVE it is that there is necessary development on the part of individuals to gain the proper consciousness of what the work itself is all about. That seems vague, and to a material minded individual is bunk - and, as I’ve said from the beginning, I don’t blame any man for saying it is the biggest bunk in the world; yet we know - from the results that are reported each and every day - that it IS bringing to individuals, some of them at least, one of the most joyous things - health, happiness, in a way that they’ve never understood it before.
We appreciate your letting us hear from you.
I think I understood the situation with Mr. C. I. Bacon, but of course didn’t want to do anything without it coming through you in the proper way. I certainly trust we may be of service to him.
R3. 6/30/28 Mr. [943]‘s ltr.: As to the treasure at Broad Creek Channel, it will be impossible for us to follow out the instructions given in your last reading until after we find out definitely what the showing may be in the Tamiami well [See [5741] series]. I will make another trip there after that time if no oil is found in the well and make another effort to locate the treasure. My confidence and faith in the information is still as strong as ever and know that we will find it when the Powers that be so directs.
R4. 12/13/49 Mrs. [1523] met a friend of Mrs. [5569] who said that she knew Mrs. [5569] and Mr. [943] in the middle 1930’s, all she remembers in connection with EC rdgs. is that “they went for trips in a row boat looking for some kind of treasure, in the Everglades.” She said Mr. [943] died in ‘37 or ‘38 - high blood pressure condition brought on his death.
