This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of June, 1928, volunteered - without suggestion being given or request being made - following a scheduled Ck. Physical [654-3] and volunteered readings 4203-3 and 1274-18.

1. EC: In the operations on the renewed activities in the Tamiami, we find that - were these carried to the thirty-eight hundred (3800) foot depth - we would encounter the hundred (100) foot sand that would be producing; and be, while of not as high grade oil as some other sectors, yet a very valuable one.

R1. 6/22/28 Mr. [943] wrote asking for a reading on prehistoric people buried in a cave in Florida - no reading was given but later, in 1932, a series of readings was given on prehistoric Atlantis - see [364] series. Mr. [943]‘s last paragraph referred to information he had volunteered in a previous letter - see under 996-12 Reports:

”…I was before the governor and committee with reference to the 700,000 acres of State land this week and they asked me to come back there in two weeks and I believe that we will be able to work out something with them. They refused me flat at first and next day I took it up with each member personally and convinced them of what I had to say and the Governor called a special meeting Wednesday afternoon at which time they asked me to come back in about two weeks.

R2. 6/30/28 Mr. [943]‘s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce;

It is beginning to look as if our greatest hopes are about to be realized. Oil and gas were found in the Tamiami well at a depth of 3105 feet, that is, there was a showing of oil and gas from the drilling returns. The well has been closed temporarily until a packer can be obtained from Houston, Texas, with which to shut off a strong salt water flow at a depth of 3040 feet. When this water is shut off they intend to bail the hole and attempt to bring in the oil. I was on the ground when this showing was made and it certainly did look good. Your reading shows that oil will be found at 3800 feet. The showing that we have now may just be a small showing and may not amount to anything. I wonder if you could give a reading and wire me the information that you get from it.

As you well know, if we have oil here what it means to us, as I have under lease, some twenty-two thousand acres close by this well. We will be able to do some of the things that we have been figuring on for some two or three years. I will wire you the result of the test which will be made in about two weeks as it will take that long to get the necessary tools to make the test.

I hope, Mr. Cayce, that you will give, if possible, a reading on this Tamiami well as quickly as you can as the information will be very valuable to me in disposing and arranging my interests around this well. Please wire collect, the information as full as you feel it safe to wire, sending the original reading by Special delivery.
