This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 23rd day of June, 1924, in accordance with request made by her husband, Mr. [4219] through Mr. Shroyer.

1. EC: Now, in many ways we find the physical conditions in this body are better than when we had them before. There are other conditions that have become centralized, localized, in the body that, apparently, makes an accentuation of the conditions as have existed in the body, and brings to the mental and to portions of the physical those distress signs, with the distress as created by same in the mental and physical portions of the body.

2. We find there would be changes necessary for the physical betterment of the body. We would take at the present time these properties in the system, and also we would apply this application to the body and keep same there in the changes as are necessary through the directions of same, until the condition is relieved and changes in the body. The application known as the Radium Applicator, made and put up by Radium Appliance Company, Los Angeles, California.

3. The properties taken internally, this:

Sarsaparilla Root…4 ounces, Wild Cherry Bark…2 ounces, Poke Root…1 ounce, Yellow Dock Root…1 ounce, Calisaya Bark…1 ounce, Mandrake Root…20 grains, Buchu Leaves…15 grains, Elder Flower…2 ounces.

4. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one quart. Strain while warm and add 4 ounces - 5 OUNCES grain alcohol, with 3 drams Balsam of Tolu cut in it.

5. The dose would be teaspoonful 4 times each day, before meals, before retiring.

6. Let the diet be those that produce the elimination through the system easily, that there may be assimilation and that condition may be eliminated in the body. This, we see, will remove these conditions in the body. Keep the applicator as directed, taking the properties as directed. Do that.

7. (Q) To what portions of the body should the radium applicator be applied? (A) The solar plexus, on the back.

8. (Q) Is this radium applicator an appliance used on the violet ray? (A) No, it’s an appliance in itself, worn as a pad day and night. Has the effect of producing eliminations through their proper channels. Hence the accentuation of conditions as taken in the medicinal properties to work with that accentuated in the applicator.

9. (Q) Is this applicator to be used as manufacturers direct? (A) Used as is given, worn continually.

READ CAREFULLY

We are all more or less familiar with the wonderful results which have been accomplished in the cure of disease by the use of Radium and its emanations.

The discovery of Radio-Activity has to an extent revolutionized the theory and practice of modern medicine, for it has shown the existence of an entirely new and very effective element, or source from which healing power may be obtained and which has proven itself to be a powerful accessory in the treatment of various diseases. Many cases of Cancer, large Vascular Tumors, Birthmarks, unsightly scars, Rheumatism and numerous other ailments and maladies have been successfully treated with Radium emanations.

The great healing power of this wonderful substance is due to the fact that it is what is termed “Radio-Active”; that is, it emits spontaneously rays or waves of energy traveling at a rate of from 12,000 to 180,000 miles a second. These rays have the power to penetrate most substances and they exert a remarkable stimulating influence upon the circulation of the blood.

The chief effect of the radiations from Radium and its disintegration products is to produce an ionization of the atoms of whatever substance the rays penetrate. Chemical effects follow as a secondary result of the ionization. Professor Carl von Noorden and Professor W. Falta believe that “in contradistinction to all other forms of electrotherapy, we possess in Radio-Active substances the means of carrying electrical energy into the depths of the body and there subjecting the juices, protoplasm and nuclei of the cells to an immediate bombardment by explosion of electrical atoms. We may, therefore, designate this internal treatment with Radio-Active substances as ‘internal electrotherapy.’”

It is difficult to form a conception of the vast amount of energy stored in even a minute quantity of Radium. 1/20,000,000 of a milligram of Radium will discharge a loaded electroscope.

The 1/100 millionth milligram of Radium will throw out 100,000 combined rays in twenty-four hours at a velocity of 12,000 to 180,000 miles per second, and this without taking account of secondary radiation. According to Sir William Ramsey, if proper mechanical means were available to draw off its energy at will, one grain of pure Radium would furnish sufficient power to drive the entire British navy on a trip around the world.

Radium will give out light, heat, and other forms of energy for an estimated period of twenty-five hundred years before total disintegration takes place.

From the above figures it is not an idle dream to look forward to the time when Radium will furnish all of the light, heat and power necessary for the human race, for even the small amount of Radium now on hand would supply sufficient energy to run all of the industries in the world for many years if proper mechanical means were available to extract its terrific energy at will. In other words, the energy is there and it only remains for man to control its use.

From this it would seem that even a mere atom of Radium is a vast storehouse of almost perpetual energy. Since it is against all physical law for any element to continually give forth energy without a source of renewal, the question naturally arises: “Where does Radium get its energy?”

To answer this question it is only necessary to state that the source of all energy is the SUN; all things in a more or less degree possess the power to receive and store up the sun’s energy.

Radium, uranium, thorium and other Radio-Active minerals have this property to such an extent that they not only receive and hold the sun’s energy in suspension, but give it forth in a changed form, namely light, heat, electrical vibration and helium gas particles. The change or transformation may be due to interatomic chemical action. This then is the logical solution of the mystery of Radium and its almost perpetual energy.

The sun gives forth light, heat and various waves of magnetic vibration. This stream of Solar Energy is, no doubt, necessary to hold our Earth in place, and since the sun is necessary to the very Earth itself, it naturally follows that in a more or less degree, it is necessary to all things on our planet.

Without going into a lengthy discourse on this theme, suffice to say that the Sun is the Essence of Life. Without its energy we could not exist; hence it is but natural for man to turn to the source of all material life for physical health, strength and power.

THE RADIO-ACTIVE SOLAR PAD Imparts Energy to the System and Overcomes Disease

The Radio-Active Solar Pad is constructed on strictly scientific principles, charged and treated with mineral elements that contain actual radium in its natural state in sufficient quantity to render the pad highly radio-active. This radio-activity is further increased by exposing the pad to sunlight, for, in addition and combined with its radio-active qualities, the pad also possesses the property of absorbing the rays and radiant energy from the sun, hence the name Radio-Active Solar Pad.

If the blood is in perfect condition no germ can gain headway enough to cause disease because the healthy corpuscles of the blood will devour it and cast it off.

All that is required to keep the activity of the pad up to its full capacity is to place it in the sunlight, or ordinary daylight when sunlight is not available. In this manner the rays of light and energy are absorbed by the pad and are then in turn distributed throughout the system by placing the pad in contact with the body.
