B1. 6/3/26 Letter: ”…Mr. [4283] and I have a few direct questions which we are very anxious to have you tell us about. It is this way, and before we make a move I want your advice.
“Mr. [4283] has a fine opening offered him in Jacksonville, Florida, and I want you to see if it would be best for all of us to live there, the year ‘round, winter and summer. Would it be well for [4281] to live in the climate of Jacksonville, Florida, the year ‘round? Would it be wise to take her there now, or wait until September or October? Or should she remain in …, Georgia? So many people are afraid of contracting malaria in Florida in the summer months. Would there be any danger there of malaria for Mr. [4283] in summer, or for me [4280]? Would distilled water be as beneficial for little [4281] as the boiled water? (The water supply for drinking in Jacksonville isn’t very good.) You can secure White Sulphur Springs water there. Please see if it would benefit her in any way. Should [4281] be allowed to wade in the water while we are using the Coco-Quinine drugs? And should she go barefooted while using the drugs? [4281] has a tricycle, and Dr. Layne feels as if it isn’t very good for her to ride it now, on account of the lesions in her spine. She gets so much pleasure out of riding it. Please see if it is in any way injurious for her to ride the tricycle!
“[4281] is improving now under Dr. Layne’s treatment, hence all these questions about moving her!
“We are going to sell our place in … very soon, and I hope to be able at that time to send you an offering.
“We are hoping that the mild winters in Florida would benefit our baby [4281].
“Please let me hear from you by the 10th or 12th of June, as Mr. [4283] will have to be there not later than the 14th…”
B2. 6/9/26 EC gave the sixth reading - 4280-6; which was volunteered following a first physical for Mrs. [4620] in Illinois, without a suggestion being given to obtain it.
B3. GD’s note: This reading - 4280-6 - is noted in 4281-13 report and 4281-13 Background, since most of it pertains to the child [4281]‘s condition.
