This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 13th day of May, 1925, in accordance with request made by self, through Mrs. [310].

Time of Reading 12:00 Noon - Daylight Savings Time. Eutaw, Alabama.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are abnormal conditions with this body, and there are those conditions that may be assisted to bring to the body the better coordination and the better conditions for the body, while there are some conditions that have reached that stage and that condition wherein there enters those that may be assisted but not entirely eliminated, yet we will assist these conditions, were we to carry out these suggestions as we will find here.

3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find in abnormal condition. While the conditions in the blood stream have changed from time to time, for we have had a centralization of conditions as is produced by the poor eliminations as were caused in the system in times back, when we had a form of condition as is produced by toxins being assimilated and taken back in the system and finding their effect as produced on system in nerves, joints, ligaments and in portions of the body; this then being accentuated by those properties as were given, we find these become localized and centralized in portions of the body. The blood attempting to clarify itself, then goes about to form those cells, those sacks or cysts, about the places wherein these conditions have been produced. Hence the condition as we find in portions of the body.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find tense at times, on account of the conditions as have been produced in the body. These have brought about the centralizing of conditions. Hence we have one of a high nerve temperament, both in cerebro-spinal and in sympathetic nerve systems.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in these, under the existing conditions, we find the body functions very good, yet there are abnormal conditions throughout the system, though these are of accentuated conditions in various portions of the system; as we find with the digestion, as we find with the lung condition, as we find about these places where the accentuations have taken place in the extremities of the body, the condition as is produced in the system through the taxing of the system attempting to produce equilibrium in eliminations.

7. In the lungs proper, these we find show the effect and how the centralizing of the condition produced through the secondary cardiac forces, or at the 5th lumbar and 5th dorsal vertebra, how these effect the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, producing the lesions in these places - lowest lumbar, upper dorsal. Hence the condition as is produced across the small of the back, those conditions as produced in lungs proper.

8. In the digestive system, this we find shows the taxing rather through the nerve system, and how that the organs of the system are exercised to abnormal functioning. Hence the change or shifting about of the distresses as are caused in the nerves and ligaments in extremities. Hence the condition in the physical condition, in the feet and limbs, arms.

9. In the liver, this we find small and abnormal in size. This gives the strain on system, on account of the condition as has existed, the liver not functioning normal through the system, for there has been taxing to the intestinal system to keep eliminations, or exciting those functionings of the mesenteric system so that the liver allowed to lie, as it were, dormant in its action. Hence we find the right lobe showing the form of inactivity bordering on to that of cirrhosis.

10. In the functioning of the kidneys, these being overtaxed, this, with the condition in the lumbar region, produces the fullness and the condition over the lower portion of body. The extra amount of urine as is eliminated, the system attempting to balance or create the balance in the system.

11. Then, to give that to the system that would bring near to normal condition for the body, assist the body and give relief, rest, strength and rebuilding vitality to the system, use these:

12. First, we would apply to the solar plexus those of the vibrations as will be found in Radium Applicator, and we will take into the system these properties:

Tincture Valerian…2 ounces, Iodide of Potassium…20 grains, Bromide of Potassium…15 grains, Elixia Calisaya…3 ounces, Elixia Celerina…1 ounce, Capsici, Tincture of…2 minims, Balsam of Tolu…1 dram, cut in Grain Alcohol…1 ounce. Sufficient simple syrup to make 10 ounces.

The dose will be teaspoonful 3 times each day. The Applicator should be applied at once and kept on the body. After wearing over solar plexus for 10 days, change to the lower portion of the lumbar region, or around the abdomen, letting the pad come across the lower portion of spine.

13. Do this, and we will find, by the time the full quantity of medicinal properties have been taken, the body improved. Then necessary for the changing of those conditions as will produce nearer the eliminations and the equilibrium necessary for further improvement in the condition. Do that at present.

Sirs, I am very much pleased with your reading. I mean to follow instructions explicitly. I have ordered the appliance and am sending the prescription to Mr. Mosely at Varmons, Selma, Ala., to be filled. You stated my ailments perfectly but causes were different to what my physicians have told me. Some say I have floating kidney - right one - others, rheumatism, Bronchitis of long standing, and I have abscess of antrum, left side. I will give your treatment a fair trial, and let you know the results.
