This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 7th day of August, 1925, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [4691].

At her store, on the Time of Reading South side of square, 11:15 A. M. Dayton Savings Time. …, Alabama.

1. GC: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same. You will answer any questions regarding this body that I will ask you.

2. EC: Now, we find the body in many ways shows the improvement in the physical forces of same. While there are many conditions not entirely satisfactory, and many that cause distresses to the body at times, the vibrations as are being created in the system by the applicator and the medicinal properties are showing the effect on the system and assisting same.

3. We would, to assist the medicinal properties in having their proper effect, and to assist the eliminations and vibrations as are set in motion by the action of radium forces in the system, keep the intestinal tract nearer open by taking sufficient quantities of the mineral oils (Usoline preferred), and by taking enemas necessary to cause evacuation from the intestinal tract. We would use higher enemas, gradually increasing this until we can form in the system those incentives for evacuation at a normal, nominal, time, see? These should be taken at least once each day, keeping the properties in system as have been given, being careful of the diet, that we keep in the right vibrator for the rebuilding in the system. Keep these up. Paying attention and care to that as given, and we will bring the better conditions for this body. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) What is the condition of the heart and what causes the distress to the body in that region? (A) This is rather that of the pressure created by the return vibrations on the pneumogastric plexuses, than organic heart condition. The heart condition as is produced is the lack of nerve coordination. Hence the vibration from vibrator, and the evacuation necessary from intestinal tract, the same as is shown in the muscular and nerve condition in the pelvic organs where distress is caused by the kidney in its functioning. These, as we see, are being assisted. Hence the rest that the body needs at times for same to contract the normal conditions. These, we see, have been of long durations and are rather effects of conditions in nerve and muscular system than of organic functionings, see?

5. (Q) What causes the hoarseness through the summer? (A) This, as we see, is produced by the congestion as is caused in the nerve system that supply the pulmonaries and vibrates with the muscular forces as produce the in-breathing and the ex-breathing, or inhalation and exhalation, see? This also is seen in capillary circulation, system attempting to produce an equilibrium. Hence the splotches as shown over exposed parts of the body, see? system trying to throw out poisons.

R2. 11/23/26 Letter: “A friend of mine asked me to write to you and have you give him a date for a reading for him as soon as you possibly can… He has read all the testimonials I have received from you, also I have told him the great help you did for me. So he is anxious to have you give a reading as soon as possible.”

R3. 10/4/27 She referred Mrs. [4741] for a Physical reading.

R4. 8/8/30 She wrote asking for a reading for a 6 months old “blue baby” with a leaking heart, valve in his heart had never closed.

R5. 9/14/30 EC’s letter to [4691]:

Mrs. [4691], …, Alabama

My dear Mrs. [4691]:-

We have yours of the 8th, and would like very much to be of help if it is at all possible, in the case of the baby that you make reference to. However, in talking the matter over with the physician in charge of the hospital here, he assures us that, so far as he knows, in medical annals there has never been anything that has offered cure or relief for such conditions. Of course, if these friends of yours still desire that we undertake it, if you will have them send in the application that we are enclosing, we will be glad to get it just as soon as it is possible for us to do so, and will put same among our emergency cases. Ask them to be sure, in the first letter, to give us the address at which we would be able to locate the baby at any time that we might be able to put this in.

I’m certainly glad to know that you are feeling much better, and certainly trust that we may be able to be of some assistance to your friends.
