This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of December, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self, through Mrs. [1100], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Woman’s Hospital, Time of Reading Room 340, 3:40 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Michigan.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measure; answering the questions that may be asked, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes.

  3. Of course, there are many changes in the condition of this body in the present than when we had this before.

  4. There must be some greater precautions taken in the prevention of a fever arising from infectious forces, where there is some disturbance in the organs from delivery. [See 480-51, Par. R1.]

  5. As to the rest of the general conditions of the body, as we find these are very good.

  6. But we would be reassured that there ARE those precautions, for these are NOT in the immediate so well.

  7. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) In what way is there infection, or what organ particularly? (A) Those that have been under stress!

  9. (Q) How should the approach be made to obtain the assurance? (A) As just indicated, be assured by THEIR re-examination that there are not CAUSES for this temperature that insists!

  10. (Q) What precautions should be taken after she leaves the hospital? (A) This, of course, will depend upon how the body gets along and how well these corrections are made here in this and the next two to three days. And if there is then the natural contraction of the uterus, and the stoppage of the flow of every manner, and no infectious forces arising, - then the precautions, of course, are to be that the body is not too soon upon the feet, - and that precaution is taken regarding the mammary glands and their activity in the production of the milk through the ducts.

  11. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) We find that this is too soon for the general advice, - except these of the more specific nature as indicated.

In two weeks or three weeks, then more general may be given, see?

  1. We are through with this Reading.

[GD’s note: Immediately following above rdg., 1788-1 was obtained for the baby.]
