This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 25th day of October, 1924, in accordance with request made by the self - Madison Byron Wyrick.

Time of Reading Bosque County, 3:05 P. M. Dayton Time. Texas.

1. EC: Now, we have these conditions regarding the developments in the properties by Madison Byron Wyrick, in the lands owned by Wyrick in Bosque County, Texas.

2. We find the operations progressing with very good lines at present. Some discussions as regarding forms in which the drilling is found at present. Best that these be cared for and prevent other troubles a little farther along for the internal conditions as exist between these operating and the operator, there are some concessions in the form of lease holdings that should be made. This would insure the better conditions throughout the operations.

3. We find there will be production found in this operation, provided the handling of the water and of the cave conditions in black lime are handled correctly. This only needs care and attention to insure success.

My dear Mr. Wyrick:-

I have yours of the 20th, and as always very glad to hear from you. I am glad to know that they are getting along so nicely with the well, though I’m sure that you have had your trials and troubles with same, but, seemingly, from the information that we have had, and have in this, you will certainly be successful in the final developments in this well, and I don’t think its so very long off.

I’m in hopes you will not experience too great a trouble with cutting off of the water in the 23, 2400 foot level. I’m afraid, however, that its going to be necessary for you to run another string of casing, or else stand the chance of losing well when it is drilled in.

While this reading is rather short in words, yet, apparently, there is a great deal of information that may be gathered from this, and I’m in hopes that it will prove of worth to you. You may be sure that I am more than glad to try to undertake to do anything that I may toward being of assistance, if possible, with the undertaking and operations, and please don’t hesitate to call on me.

As to my trip to New York, other than I explained to you beforehand, I do not know as I can say at the present time that it was much more than that. While it is true we are having quite a number of readings from there at the present time, and the greater number of these have sent a contribution toward the work. This, of course, has been of material benefit.

As to the men themselves that I met, I found both of these very clean-cut young men. While they are both Jews, and members of the stock exchange, which we naturally know, under these conditions, makes them in a manner a one-track mind along these things that they are interested in; however, their personal experience, with the work, in such that I believe they are rather thoroughly convinced of the possibilities. There seems to be the probability that through their efforts we might have the book published, or have some articles published in some of the magazines on subject matter that might be given in readings. I came in touch with two or three of their friends, who are considered rather good as writers, though of course in an entirely different field. They, apparently, felt that this might be possible. I’m going to try today to begin on a story for them. I will send you a copy of same and let you see what you think of it [See 254-14].

You, in all probability, will be back in Chicago the first of the week, and then perhaps next week have to run down to Texas to watch the well come in. It would be a very good election bet, wouldn’t it?

Have you seen or heard anything from Dr. Harriet? Do you know if she has gotten entirely well? Have been expecting a letter from Dr. Robert Fox some time, but unless she has entirely recovered I’ll expect he’s had his hands full.

I’m glad to say we are all fairly well here, nothing especially new of interest.

R2. 10/28/24 M. B. Wyrick’s letter:

Mr. Edgar Cayce, 322 Grafton Ave., Dayton, O.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

I have your letter and reading of October 25. You certainly are keeping in close touch with conditions at the well. There was some labor trouble as you mentioned in the last reading and last week we had some trouble in the formation by drilling a flat hole for about 20’ and it has taken four days to shape up the hole. This morning they were drilling at 2400’. Did not seem to find water of any consequence around 2400’ but did find some water sand at 2270’.

I am sending Martin a copy of the reading with instructions to watch closely the operations and the formation from now on. I think it would be well to give another reading about next Saturday because they should be coming close to the break in formation around 2800 or 2900’.

Glad to learn that you met with some success in your trip East. Hope it will result in much benefit to you and the cause.

I expect to go to Texas again next week and will keep you advised of any change in conditions.
