This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of July, 1926, in accordance with request made by Mr. M. B. Wyrick. Involuntary Reading, without suggestion being given to obtain it, following a physical for [4298] and volunteered physicals for [3796] and [4324].

Time of Reading Bosque County, 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Texas.

1. EC: Now, we have those conditions surrounding the operations in the well on the lands of Madison Byron Wyrick, in Bosque County, Texas. The preparations as are being made for the setting of the casing are well, and well that the conditions be guarded against losing tools in such preparations. When the string is ready to be set, there must be given particular attention to the tautness of the string in its descent, and with the finding of obstructions by cavings, or otherwise, well that same be not forced, else there may occur the crumple in the casing. Be ready to string in, and with casing suspended remove obstruction below, that same may descend properly to its place, for we find that this will come in its proper way and manner, by this care, and that the success then of the operation will be assured, for there is at PRESENT the show of oil coming from the lower depths, as well as some from the formation just above where the pump is located; the greater and the nearer place to the pool, however, being in the bottom, which is correct for the present operation. It will be found also necessary that when the string is set that this be well hung from the top - preferably would we use the spider from same.

2. Follow this, see, as we have given, for we will find the success with these operations, and even though tediously long and patience taking, yet these will pay fifteen hundred for every one invested in these operations.

Certainly appreciate your sending the information as regarding the well. I am sorry indeed to know that Pat has been having so much trouble. I am in hopes that he is feeling real good, for I’m sure he realizes he has a good sized job ahead of him. By the way, Mrs. Cayce asked that you suggest Pat have a Life Reading, as she feels sure he must have been associated with Job, or Job himself. Its been a long hard pull, but I think we are nearing the goal now.

I certainly hope that you are feeling good yourself. Let us hear from you whenever you have the opportunity.

Tools fifty two hundred forty one feet with nearly forty feet cavings on top of same. Necessary to drill with ream bit and to remove same to get out tools. These are straight in hole at present.

R9. 7/7/26 Mr. Wyrick’s letter to EC:

My dear Cayce,

Received this a.m. the reading on well which you gave 11 a.m. Saturday. This was given just 4 hours before Leach broke the drill line and left tools in hole. LaBryn wired you Monday for reading to locate tools. Pat fished them out Monday pm as you will note by copy of messages. They were to start casing today. Have not heard how they are getting on.

There has been several wires sent you past few months requesting readings. Most of them sent by LaBryn, Crews & Taylor over my name. This is ok with me provided they collect for you from their friends they request readings for. I have no way checking on these as many are sent without my knowledge. Wish you would tell me of any who have not paid.
