R1. GD’s note: In the fall of 1936 we met Dr. [4948] for the first time (at least GC and I did) when he came to the Kahn home while we were there. He told me that he had obtained a Life Reading from EC years ago [perhaps in 1926 or 1927] while EC was on a brief trip to N.Y.; he was told that he was in Atlantis, Persia, etc. It was about the time that Miss [778] obtained her Life Reading - they were discussing their readings at a N.Y. meeting one time and she told him she’d been married to him in a previous life. These details are being given here because we have no copy of his Life Reading; I didn’t even know that he had gotten a Life Reading until he mentioned it.
Since Dr. [4948] was mentioned in several other people’s readings or correspondence, listings are given below which may throw some light on his background, etc: [Miss [460] had considered marrying Dr. [4948].]

R12. 3/9/37 EC answered: “While it is hard for anyone, I am sure, to separate me from the information that comes through in a reading, it is very, very different; for, personally, I am sure I would send everyone in your vicinity to you for dental work, but the readings do not always do the same. Am sure, however, you will find Mrs. [1158] a very lovely person to work with; just hope you have success in doing what is needed; am sure you are the one for her at this time. Thanks for attending to this for us.”
R13. 12/2/39 Mr. [257]‘s letter: “Did you know that [4948] has never had the use of but one eye and never knew it until he was examined by the government and he has practiced dentistry all these years with the use of only one eye?”
