GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [543]; this we have had before.
-
Many changes in many ways have come about in the body since last we had same.
-
There are improvements in some directions, there are hindrances in other directions.
-
In the present, WE would give that the former applications are the better for the body, - the properties indicated in the compounds prepared by James, Chicago. We would take these in series, as are indicated, and not TOO MUCH of them, but in the modified form. These as we find will prove the more helpful for the body.
-
Occasionally - especially when there are the tendencies towards seizures - we would massage an equal combination of Olive and Peanut Oil (half and half, you see) into the lacteal duct area; this would be across the area, just below the liver and extending over the whole of the abdomen. This thoroughly massaged will be most beneficial. When there are seizures, this applied just below the head and the neck, would be helpful in preventing the contractions there; but this should be done each day, as well as at such times. This doesn’t mean to just dab it on, but some deep massage, that the muscular forces may be the better relaxed; and we will find this most beneficial.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What caused the 3 nose hemorrhages I had during the first half of November? (A) The effects of a pressure produced by the strain through the neck and back portion of head. Hence the massages indicated to relax those tensions, and to cause better equalized circulation.
-
(Q) Please give the reason why Dr. James’ medicine would be preferable to taking Dilantin? [Harry L. James, M.D.] (A) These properties are less habit-forming, and thus requiring that less of same be taken.
-
(Q) Have the insulin treatments, which I’ve had given to me in the last year, benefited me? (A) Not in this particular case has it been beneficial to any great extent. It has been a palliative in some directions, but not greatly beneficial. For, the shocks attempted to be made to cause the coordination of sympathetic and cerebrospinal, as to keep down the seizures, were not effective; because the seizures do not arise from those sources as have been thought or acted upon by some. They arise more from that as we have long given, - as from an activity in the pubic center, with the ducts and glands from the lyden [Leydig] forces in a portion of the glandular forces of the body, through the lesions in lacteal area.
-
(Q) Did the denervation of the adrenal glands help me? [See 543-24.] (A) It aided, but now there are those lesions that are bringing back the effects of this upon the system.
-
(Q) Has there been made or builded a place where I might have the operation for the organs of the genitive system, as suggested years ago? If so, where? [See 543-1.] (A) These should have been attended to in the Cleveland operation, [by Dr. George Crile, M.D.] and were not - altogether. These, as we find, might be yet done; but there would first have to be the agreements upon the part of the parents and of self with the physicians for such an operation.
-
(Q) Will this operation help me any more, now? (A) It would help, if done.
-
(Q) What good would it do me to have an operation on my liver, by a Dr. Seager in Danville, Va.? (A) None.
-
(Q) Any further advice? (A) We would follow those things that have been suggested here and we will find betterment in the usage of same.
-
We are through for the present.
