This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of February, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [543], through her father, Mr. [1212].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Annie Cayce and Bertha Levy.]

Time of Reading 3:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [543]. In some respects we find conditions much as we have outlined heretofore. In some the conditions are bettered; in others not so well. Much of these, as we find, come from improper diet and improper eliminations, as well as lack of local treatments to keep down irritation that has arisen at times.

  2. In the general considering of the conditions of the body in the present, for the better conditions, we will find that the use of the Mayblossom Bitters - taken properly - will be much more beneficial than those of the more active sedative natures; for the herbs in Mayblossom Bitters act with the system - especially the nitre or saltpeter that is given in small quantities to retard those reactions for the contraction of muscular forces in system - better than the Luminal or any of the bromides. These, then, may be reduced somewhat in the quantity, but taken oftener - so that three to four, even five teaspoonsful, may be taken during twenty-four hours - see? but if these are taken, and there is congestion through digestive system - through improper diet - they will only irritate, rather than aid.

  3. The diet should be during this period, or under the present situations:

  4. Mornings - citrous fruits; nothing else - unless Graham or brown bread with Ovaltine or a cereal drink, NOT milk!

  5. Noon - preferably green vegetables, with mayonnaise or dressings that are palatable to the body. There may also be taken at this period broths, or such, and HARD breads - see? that make an activity especially in the glands which secrete for digestion.

  6. Evenings - there may be taken fish, cooked vegetables, or such. Beware of fruits that are ACID PRODUCING in the system! Well that small quantities of soda be taken occasionally, preferably the plain bicarbonate of soda. This may be taken in the evenings. Beware of bananas, apples, and such fruits. No NUTS of any character! The OILS of same are not well.

  7. The blood supply in body would not warrant the operation in the present condition, though - if this may be changed, then the reproductive gland operation would prove helpful and beneficial to the body. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) Would bodily exercise help? (A) In the open, is well for the body.

  9. (Q) Would eating beef occasionally be detrimental to body? (A) If well prepared, and not too MUCH taken, it may be taken in moderation - well cooked.

  10. (Q) How often could cocoanut [coconut] be eaten? (A) Not at ALL! No nuts, or bananas, or apples. Other fruits - such as the citrus fruits, grapes, pears, peaches (whether canned or otherwise, but if canned be sure they are NOT canned with benzoate of soda).

  11. That is all the questions regarding this body.

  12. We are through with this reading.
