EC: We have the body here, [543] - this we have had before. Now, we find conditions in many respects have altered since last we had same. Some are for the betterment, some are not so well. The tendency of the system for fermentations in the digestive system, and the tendency for constipation, has been for detrimental forces - making those conditions in the colon to be more accentuated; also the nervous forces of the body become overtaxed through these repressions, producing more and more those effects that have been seen in the system - more severe in some respects; yet these, as we find, may be aided. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Would you advise taking medicine made by the Western Medical Corporation, Chicago - Dr. Harry L. James directing physician some of which I hold in my hand? (A) These, as we find, would be well to take; for the concentrated form in the one is the same that has been applied for the system, while those that are to act upon the digestive system - as these are taken - would be well also. Will be found necessary in the beginning to increase the amount for the eliminations, but after the second or third day these may be made normal again.
As for the diet, this should be altered as is outlined with the properties, rather closely; resting of mornings but exercising after the noonday meal, see? as much in the open as is possible. Do that.
-
(Q) As walking? (A) As walking. With the taking of these, to be sure, there should be the discontinuance of all other properties taken. Later we will find necessary the addition of some other treatments for conditions that are not inclusive in these preparations at present, but to prevent the nervous attacks, to prevent the constipation, and the digestion being more in accord.
-
(Q) Would it be better to change to this medicine, or go on as before? (A) Change to this.
-
(Q) Please outline diet as for one day. (A) This is outlined. Do that.
-
(Q) Any other suggestions? (A) As conditions progress we would give the changes as necessary, see? Follow THESE directions in the present. Let’s do not MIX matters, for we are doing the same things only in a different manner.

The medicine is made by the Western Medical Corp., Chicago, Dr. Harry L. James directing physician. We are most anxious for [543] to try it, and knowing you as we do, and your desire in life to relieve the suffering, we feel confident that it will meet with your approval. The medicine [543] is now taking has not had the result we hoped for, and after seeing one made well of this most dreadful disease, we are anxious for her to commence on it at once… [543] is eagerly waiting for a letter or wire from Miss Annie Cayce [Cayce-Hesson Nursing Home] advising her when to go to her.”
