Hospital Premises) This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of January, 1930, in accordance with request made by self, through his daughter - Miss [349].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Dr. and Mrs. Lydic, L. J. Hesson, and L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5451]. This we have had before. While little has been accomplished toward a relief for the body as related to the vision, or as to the general conditions of the body, these - in a GENERAL manner - do not show the loss of vitality as much as has been formerly indicated; so that, the general care of health has improved SOME in this direction, to at least where there is not too much drain on same.

  2. In the applications for conditions for the vision, we would NOT operate - for this must at least mean the full loss of sight to the one eye. While the vision has gradually faded with the constant accumulation of tissue thickening over a portion of the ball, there is NOT the atrophy of the optic nerve. There IS the pinching of the central nerves as LEAD to the optics. These need STRENGTHENING, and - as has been INDICATED - would there be the application (this simple, yet effective in this particular condition) those of the Irish potato - scraped; not the peel, but that of the larger the better - this scraped, and of evening cake same over the eye socket - eyes closed, to be sure. Then, of morning, when this is removed, CLEANSE same with a weakened solution of an antiseptic that will aid in the CLARIFYING of the MUCUS from the system.

  3. Also we would apply those of the violet ray applicator. Not to the eyeball, at first - but directly to the 3rd and 4th CERVICAL centers, to the base of the brain, and follow up along each side to the back of the ear - see? This we would apply for at least three to five minutes. Keep this up for a period of at least ten to fifteen days.

  4. Every SECOND day we would have the adjustments and a deep manipulation in the upper dorsal and the whole of the cervical region, OSTEOPATHICALLY given. Make adjustments, but do not attempt to make them all at once, for we must relieve the pressure if we would set up absorption. Do that. Ready for questions.

  5. (Q) Is there any light work the body could do while taking treatments? or should he discontinue work while taking them? (A) He may continue this for the present, for we may change it entirely after the fifteen days of treatment.

  6. (Q) What should diet be? (A) Very good dietician, for the body is a kosher dietist.

  7. (Q) Should glasses be changed? (A) Not at present.

  8. (Q) Are there conditions locally to be warned of at present time? (A) Not at present, other than that as has been indicated. Be sure that there is the cleansing after the local applications, that there may not be local infection. Do that. We are through with this reading.
