This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of March, 1929, in accordance with request made by her husband, via David E. Kahn.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5504]. Now we find the body very good in many respects. There are indications in the general condition of disturbances as have existed with the body for some time. The changes as have come about have been such as to leave conditions that have aggravated the disturbances, and THESE - in their turn - cause more irritation through the system, affecting other portions of the body. Hence we will find the greater disturbances to be of the reflex nature; yet to remove or to bring about normal conditions it would be NECESSARY to remove that as causes, or produces, the first disturbance. The cold, the congestion, as has more recently existed has brought about - through the digestive system and lower hepatic circulation - more of the disturbance, or more CAUSES for pressures in the nervous system. As is seen, the greater distresses have been through conditions as were produced in the nerve system, so when there has been headaches, or indigestion, these have been more from reflexes than from conditions existent with the organ so disturbed. The seat of the trouble, as we find, has existed and does exist in the lower lumbar region, as much or more in the upper sacral. This in turn has caused pressure that in its action in system has MISPLACED, as it were, the organs of genitation, and this irritation constantly produces in system that high nerve tension to which the body is apt to so DISTINCTLY in the reaction. This also prevents the normal, or normality in its entirety, in the menstrual periods; also prevents that of the conception, for the POSITION shows that this is - as at present - almost impossible. Not so much is this in its position so that there is the constant irritation, but at the periods the irritation becomes more severe, coming on more just after or just before the disturbance caused than during the period. This, then, the cause or the seat of the disturbances in this body, [5504], we are speaking of. And to correct these would be to bring about the more near normal condition for the body. The other conditions as have existed in other portions of the system, as has been given, are an aggravation TO the condition, and the CAUSES, then, are reflex from the disturbances produced IN the organ so affected by the irritation as is exhibited through the nerve system. In the correcting of the one we would correct the other conditions as apparent in the system, yet the constant irritation MUST be - and is - weakening on the system, requiring vitality, burning up the energy - though the body is FULL of energy, self-reliance, self ability, mental capacity, and CAPABLE - but much more may be accomplished with the correction of these conditions producing the disturbance. This may be accomplished through that of the local applications for the organs themselves, using packs - where antiseptic solutions would prevent irritation as corrections would be made in the cerebro-spinal system, in lower dorsal and in the coccyx region, that would release or relax the condition such as to bring the organ back to its place. OR this may be performed by a minor operative, but the action as would be created by same would be much more severe - while this - former will require a longer period but would be more permanent and less disturbance for the system. The manipulations and adjustments would require from two to three months, these taken at first every other day. In the latter portion, once to twice a week would be sufficient. The local applications and the antiseptics for the correcting of the position would require at least one month of such treatment. Heat, (preferably, the DRY) should be applied to the exterior portion of the body - across the lower lumbar and sacral - before any corrections in the cerebro-spinal ganglia were made. Do that, and we will bring the nearer normal condition for this body. We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Your reading of Mrs. [5504] received. Would appreciate it if you would give her another reading by questions, as we believe some of the information does not check exactly. Generally speaking the reading was correct. Since writing for a reading we find that conception has taken place in the body of [5504].

Your reading states that conception cannot take place, -

1. Is the Doctor correct in stating conception has taken place in the body?
2. Should body take treatments as suggested even though conception has taken place?
3. What can body do to stop condition of nausea or assist the body to stand it?
4. What should body eat at this time?
5. What kind of pacts should body use?
6. Are osteopathic treatments suggested for next two or three months?
7. Would electric pad be sufficient to produce heat necessary?
8. When should heat be applied - each day before manipulation is used?
9. Will body be able to produce normal issue if suggestions are followed?
10. Can body have normal healthy issue with present conditions as exist in body?
11. Should body live in New York or Philadelphia?
12. When may baby be expected?
13. What will be the size of baby?
14. Give body advice for its mental and spiritual direction in order to properly affect the condition of the coming issue.
15. Give advice also to the father of child to aid to develop the coming issue.
16. What will cure itchy condition that body experiences nightly?
17. What causes condition?
18. What will relieve formation under the skin and what causes them?
