This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of April, 1929, in accordance with request made by his mother, Mrs. [4280].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [5520], here. This we have had before. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) What causes the itching and breaking out on face and limbs? What can be done to remedy it? (A) This produced by too much protein in the system, and a tendency towards acid reaction in the digestive system. We would use the modified raw milk, and we would use, as an applicant, Stearate of Zinc with Balsam of Tolu for same, dusted over the affected parts. This will relieve the itching, and, with the change in diet, be the correcting for the system. Using as the eliminant, modified or small doses of Castoria. Using as a diet, that as HAS been OUTLINED, of the ALKALINE producing for the system. This will bring about the correction for this body. DO that.

3. (Q) Just what fruits, and name the vegetables he needs now? (A) The citrous fruits, and pears may be included, provided same are well ripened. The vegetables, those of the alkaline producing - ALL of them!

4. (Q) How many ounces of milk does he need in 24 hours? (A) Twelve -

5. (Q) Does he need 3 or 4 feedings in 24 hours? (A) Better that they are 4, divided properly, with MODIFIED milk.

6. (Q) Just what proportion should the milk be? (A) Use that of lime water for the weakening of same, and make two tablespoonsful to one of water, see?

7. (Q) Did the raw milk cause the serious illness of his bowels last July? (A) The condition of the system at the time, and the condition of the milk also.

8. We are through for the present.

R1. 4/19/29 Letter to Mrs. [4280], [5520]‘s mother from EC: “Replying to yours of the 12th, you, no doubt, have already received the information gotten regarding the little boy. We certainly are in hopes that this will assist you in getting conditions straightened out entirely, so that he will have no more trouble. We assure you it is our desire to be of help whenever possible. Oftentimes our appointments are so far in advance that it is some time before we are able to arrange to get one in, but we try to handle them just as fast as our abilities will allow. We find that we can do just so much. We are limited according to our own physical abilities, but I certainly am in hopes that the little fellow will get along nicely, and that you will have no further trouble.

“Let us hear from you whenever you have the opportunity, and know that we are always glad to help if we can.

“Work is going along very nicely at the hospital. We have had quite a few in from time to time, and as we are better able to handle the cases I’m sure we will have more to do. More and more, of course, our time is taken up by the individuals who are in the hospital and who are members of the Association, for the work, as you know, is research, and we are trying to handle it in as scientific way and manner as possible.
