This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 1st day of September, 1930, in accordance with request made by mother and those in charge.

Time of Reading Cayce Hospital, 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before, [5568]. In many ways conditions have improved in the physical forces. There is a tendency towards being overactive with the general building up of the system, and the necessity of suppling, as it were, more of the blood supply TO the system. This, as we find, may be best aided or added to by those elements as will act as developments for the system, as flesh building, blood building, nerve and muscular forces. These we may find in those properties as will act WITH the glands of the system, and in the use of same there should be those precautions in the giving of same, that these do not form for the system too GREAT an amount before there is the distribution of same through the system. This, as we find may be in any of those that will aid in the digestion and in adding to those of the thyroid and of the glands in the digestive system, especially as related to those in the digesting of fats, see?

2. In manipulations, let these be those that will carry more of the oils - and of that that will stimulate externally those of the capillary circulation, and as these are absorbed in system we will find - with the vibrations as are kept - this will materially aid the body. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) What substitute may be used for the wet battery when body goes home? (A) There will be no substitute, but there may be given those vibrations of that in the Radio-active Appliance as carries with same Spirits of Camphor. This will aid, but after the rest of one to six weeks, or eight weeks, the body SHOULD have more manipulations, and more of the battery vibrations.

4. (Q) How should Radio-active Appliance be applied? (A) Apply same to those of the 2nd cervical and to the umbilicus. The positive or first attachment to the cervical, to be sure, and that of the larger - or that through which the medicinal properties or vibrations act - to the umbilicus last.

5. (Q) How often should osteopathic treatments be given now? (A) Once a week will be sufficient, if the changes are made at the end of six to eight weeks.

6. (Q) Any further suggestions for treatments at home? (A) Those of the properties as will add to the building of the system, is the only change. These must add for flesh, blood, muscle and sinew building, see? and may be aided most through those of that for the thyroids, and for those of the digestive glands.

R2. 11/14/30 Letter from Assoc. of Nat. Investigators to [5568]‘s mother: “We have not lately received any remittance on your account due us of $496.00. We would thank you very much to mail us a check covering as much of this account as you can and handle the balance regularly until it is paid.

“We trust that the little boy is continuing to improve daily, and with best wishes, we are…”

R3. Father’s letter to EC: “I received a letter from the Assoc., asking me to pay something on that bill I owe to the hospital. When I was down there last June for two days, I made arrangements with Dr. Lydic to pay off on that bill, when I was able to. If you could speak to Dr. Lydic about this he would explain to you. It isn’t that I don’t want to pay it, but I haven’t got it to pay just now, as I am paying off on some of the money that I sent [5568] & his mother down there with. Whenever I am able I will pay, but I haven’t got it just now. Perhaps you can straighten this out with the Assoc. & Dr. Lydic. [5568] is improving & wishes to be remembered, & also his mother, to everyone, they knew at the hospital.

R4. 12/3/30 EC’s letter to [5568]‘s Father: “I have yours of sometime ago, in response to the ltr. written from the Assoc. regarding your account. I’m indeed very glad to know that [5568] is continuing on the improve. I don’t know of anyone that I had rather see get good and well than that precious boy, and I’m sure he will.

“I don’t think, Mr. […], that the ltr. was written with any intent to embarrass you - but there have been some changes in the personnel of the hospital. The general depression has curtailed the abilities of many to contribute to the work. Hence it has been necessary to try and collect every bit possible from any and all who have had any advantages of the institution. So, whenever it IS convenient - even if it is ever so little - why it will be a blessing to the institution if you will send that along - even if it is only a few dollars at the time, it will certainly be thankfully received.

“Please know that I am always glad to do anything I can to help. If at any time you feel that a rdg. might help you or Mrs. […], in knowing more about the changes taking place, or the treatments for [5568] - please don’t hesitate to ask for it, and don’t think that there will be a great big bill run up on you for any such service; for it is my desire - that IF this CAN be of service (the information) - to give it just as far as it is possible to be done to each and every one desiring same.

“Won’t you let us hear from you real often? every week or so? for WE think of [5568] just as if he was one of our children, and we love him - we want you to know that we love him. I’m sure we can’t as you and Mrs. […] do, but know that we do - and a very great deal.

“Kindest personal regards to each one of you. Be sure to tell [5568] that Mr. Cayce says ‘Howdy’.”

R5. 12/13/30 Letter from [5568]‘s father to EC: “Received your very nice ltr. and thank you very much. I appreciate it more than I can say. I am very sorry that things have turned out the way they did, but sometimes can’t be helped under the circumstances. As soon as it is possible for me, I will send you a check.

“[5568] is having his osteopathic treatments since he’s been home, and is improving all the time. He still remembers every one, he knew down there. We all wish you and the family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Will close with Best Wishes to you all and beg to remain.”
