Time of Reading Sun Air Farm, 11:50 to 12:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Oak Ridge, N.J. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: This we have had before. Now, as we find, there are improvements in the general physical forces of this body. Yet there are still those tendencies and those causations that have prevented, and do prevent, a perfect coordination at all times between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal reactions; and these, as we have indicated heretofore, are of the physical nature - and have both a psychopathic and pathological effect upon the physical and mental (in both directions) in the body. But these are upon the improve.
-
As we find, not all of those suggestions that have been given have been CONSISTENTLY followed; especially that which would tend to break up the lesions and adhesions in the caecum and the lacteal duct area, for THIS portion of the system’s tendency for the perfect coordination.
-
However, the lesion in the cerebrospinal system, in the coccyx end and in the lumbar and sacral, has been MATERIALLY aided and relieved; and those in the axis at the 1st and 2nd cervical are in a much better position. As we find, it will require that these be continued to be kept in a more perfect alignment from period to period; or at least two or three times each week, or one week three times, the next week twice, should be sufficient for the adjustments - and a general massage, see?
-
As to the matter of the oil packs, it will be necessary that these be consistently used for a period of a month to six to eight weeks - consistently, every other day, for at least an hour during that day. These, as we find, would be applied, now, over the lower portion of the liver, the lacteal ducts, to the caecum and to the lower portion of the ascending colon area, or to the groin area on the right side. See? Change at least four times during the hour, or every fifteen minutes - and as hot as the body can stand same. These should be of very heavy flannel, well saturated; not as to despoil conditions, but be quiet during this period.
-
Following the oil packs it would be well to rub the spinal column, from the base of the brain to the end of the spine, and especially over the lower portion of the spine, the lower caecum and sacral area and to the end of the spine itself, with this combination:
-
To 6 ounces of Witchhazel, as the base or carrier, add:
Oil of Turp…1/2 ounce, Oil of Cedar Wood…1/2 ounce, Kerosene, or Coal Oil…1 ounce.
These we would shake together before they are massaged into the spine. This would be given after the rubdown or bath following the oil packs, see? Do these every other day.
-
And until six or ten are given, use the colonic irrigations to relieve the poisons that are set as drainages in the system, through the activity of the packs themselves on the system. For these poisons prevent the coordination of the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nerve systems, in the brush end of the spine, that produce the contraction or loss of control of emotions in the body.
-
Keep the physical exercises; not strenuous, but consistent, so that the body - whether in walking, in the setting-up exercise, no matter how cold it may be outside - gets up a good SWEAT; and we will have a better coordination throughout the system.
-
In the matter of the diets, keep those things in this manner for the present; not too much eating, but this as an outline - though it may be altered somewhat:
-
Mornings - citrus fruit juices, either orange juice, pineapple juice, grapefruit, lemon - as the beginning. If eggs are taken, do not eat the white of same; only the yolk. Brown bread, and Ovaltine or a cereal drink, or milk may be taken.
-
Noons - preferably have a portion of this meal consist of vegetable juices, or vegetable and meat juices, with a green fresh vegetable salad; such as cabbage, lettuce, spinach, celery, onions, radishes, mustard, tomatoes - any and all of these may be included at some times. These would be eaten with an oil dressing, NOT mayonnaise but an oil dressing - that has rather has the stimulant of cayenne in same as it is prepared together; or salt, mustard, pepper (the cayenne, not the black), and the oil - as the olive oil combined with same, or the vegetable oil. Or the juices only may be taken.
-
Evenings (when the exercises are the heavier) - a well- balanced vegetable diet, with meats only of fowl or fish or lamb. No red meat, no beef, no fat meats. All vegetables may be included at some time or another. Pears - the fresh pears preferably, or those that carry the iron in same that are preserved or canned properly. Grapes, figs, the lowly prune at times, but not too much of these, may be among those things taken at such meals.
-
In keeping these, we will find, we will bring in the next eight weeks to ten weeks - well, we shouldn’t have more than one or two turns ever after that, if you will be consistent and be persistent!
-
Keep in the sunshine much. When the sunshine is not obtainable, then use the violet ray as a portion of the treatment; not a great deal of this used, except to relax the body, at any period.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) For the quickest and best improvement, could the body continue his treatments in Arizona at home, or should he remain here; if so, how much longer? (A) How much longer has been given? Make it the JOB now, while you are on the improve! Hold that thou hast, and make the mental forces SEE that which is being applied is RIDDING the body of those conditions that hinder it from taking its rightful place in the affairs of men, in its association with its fellows. For these conditions are on the improve. Do not lose hold of that thou hast already gained.
-
(Q) Should any more rounds of Atomidine be taken? (A) Occasionally; about two weeks apart.
-
(Q) In what form can milk be taken by the body? (A) The dry milk, or the Bulgarian milk are the more preferable - IF the other conditions as given are applied to the body! Without same they do not work so well!
-
(Q) Are all the treatments being given properly? (A) Give them as we have outlined now, and they will be given properly! As indicated, some have not been made in the proper or CONSISTENT application!
-
(Q) Give in detail the exercises which the body should take. (A) As outlined. Whatever exercise you do, get up a sweat! Even if you play Checkers, sweat at it!
-
(Q) Should the body keep a record of his turns? (A) Forget em’! For you won’t have any if you’ll do these things!
Let it be rather someone else that would ever have to think of them, for you are going to forget ‘em, if you’re going to act and do and be that which is thy birthright!
Let not the spiritual within thine self be neglected. Be purposeful in all that thou wouldst do. Thou hast an obligation to many. Thou hast much to be given thee from many. These, thou meet thine own part - and look to a Wise, All-Merciful God to do that within THEE, within thine mind, within thine body, that will enable thee - as a child of the living God - to make the WORLD a better place for THOU having lived in same. Keep that before thee constantly:
I, [567], will so live my own life as to make the world, those about me, those I contact, GLAD they have known [567]:
- We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 11/15/34 Mr. [643]‘s letter:
“The wonderful news from [567] makes us both very grateful to you and to your work. It also embarrasses me that I have not kept up in my payments to the Assoc. for the work you have done.
“[567] writes that he wants to come out here. We are both very disappointed at even the thought of leaving without first your consent and FULL approval. Of course the expense is hard on me but it very cheap compared with having him well. This and much more.
“Business is rotten and we have been short of funds. Mr. Reilly writes that he must have certain moneys paid. I would like to do this but with the demands made on me it is either a case of his taking what I can send, and as prompt, or having [567] leave. You understand this to mean if he insisted that I do the impossible, then I just stop trying. AND if he is running on short schedule, he will be a lot shorter without [567]‘s contribution were it only 50.00 per month.
“I have not paid much attention to [567]‘s letters about diet, or Mr. Reilly as when one MUST stay in a place because of health or necessity naturally he chafes a lot.
“Mr. Reilly is paid now for board and room to Nov. 30th.
“I owe him for October treatments and the gone part of November and to my way of thinking in these times that is something demanding very little criticism. A lot better than I am paying other bills and also than the way, or time money comes into me.”
R2. 12/18/34 Mother [652]‘s letter: “Last night [567] walked in, and while it was good to see him, I was hoping he could bring Gray Salter with him. I am naturally very anxious that [567] follow your directions 100% and naturally feel that here we are not able to follow them exactly. Will you please write me your opinion on what is best for him. I shall make an effort to persuade Mr. [643] to send [567] East again, if you will advise me. This is a small western town and no good osteopath available, so I wish he could have stayed until you discharged him. Now I can’t let this change interfere with his cure, and I am asking you for advice.”
R3. 12/22/34 Father [643]‘s letter: “[567] says that this Dr. Johnson [Lee M. Johnson, D.C.?] gives the treatments exactly as you instructed the only thing being that she is not a strong woman. I think we should give it all a fair trial because he is here.
“I did my best to keep him at Reilly Farm until you discharged him and now if we have it all to do over again, with the accrued loss of time it will be bad all round. We are both fully following your advice.”
R4. 1/2/35 Mother [652] submitted questions; 1/3/35 and 1/7/35 Mr. [567] wired questions.
R5. 1/2/35 Dr. H. J. Reilly’s letter: “[567] left the farm about the 10th of Dec. He was getting very homesick, so I didn’t try to hold him. He was seeking all sorts of petty reasons as to why he should go home. In that frame of mind I think the trip home was best for him - he made some wonderful improvement, and I think it would do him a great deal of good to be back, if he will cooperate. As the cold bothers him, I think the best time would be the latter part of March or 1st of April.”
