This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 31st day of July, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [569].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with special reference to the condition in the ear, the right ear, with suggestions for the improvement of any or all of these conditions. You will answer any questions relative to these that I will ask you.

2. EC: Now, we find many conditions are improved in a great many ways in the body, yet there are those abnormal conditions that need correction and that should have had those vibrations as were given, to prevent the centralization of used tissue or drosses as comes from the condition in system where the eliminations are improperly divided in system. Hence we have the excretions as are shown in inflammatory tissue as we see in portions of the body, ear especially. This is a centralization of the condition being eliminated in the upper portion of body, and centralized. The radium applicator forces, as we see, would, with the vibration it creates with the blood and nerve system, have minimized and produced a better equalization throughout the system, producing a coordination in eliminations and adding life-giving forces, rather than allowing tissue to become involved in the condition produced by drosses remaining and producing cell force in themselves. This, as we see then, would need the double strength, as it were, of such application at present time, though we would find this would be of assistance to the body were this used.

3. Then, for the specific conditions as exist in the body at present time, we would keep those of the osteopathic forces to assist in eliminations, but making a more general condition, taking those properties of salts of tartar, or of properties that are of a saline nature that keep the intestinal tract open, using the antiseptics as are being used as local application to cleanse the broken tissue that it may heal properly. Keep away from meats or of those properties that give tissue that building force that creates of the cellular force in itself. [GD’s note: Warning of cancer] Do that for the body at the present time. We find the general condition, in eyes, the condition in the general part of system, that bacilli as is being carried in the body, as has been given before, is lessened at the present time, for it has become centralized. These conditions and these properties for the system will assist in eliminating and bringing the body nearer to normal forces. Sulphur and salt of tartar may also be used. Should not get the body wet at such times, or feet wet, or too much exercise for the body. The body MUST rest more. Keep off of feet more while these properties are being taken.

4. (Q) What proportion? (A) Small quantities and under supervision of physician, for we do not wish to turn the sedimentary conditions to that of an intestinal disturbance, yet we must eliminate more through the intestinal tract and increase circulation through liver and intestines, that we may throw off drosses and so eliminate poisons from system that are accumulating in a localized condition, yet these must be watched, for according to diet and the disposition of the mental forces towards conditions would the change come. Hence, under the care and attention of physician should these eliminations be kept. Keep off of feet and from too much exercise, while this is being taken - but use applicator. R1. 8/2/25 “Certainly regret that I did not go on as you told me and get the Radium Appliance, for feel like I might have been saved all this suffering and inconvenience it has given me. I am so afraid my other ear is going to be the same way, as it is so sore I can hardly bear to touch it. Do hope Dr. Hugh C. Beazley can, by taking this in time, keep me from losing my hearing. I feel like if I don’t get some relief soon I will surely lose my mind, for I have gone through so much lately don’t believe I can stand much more.

“I had stopped the osteopathic treatment, as I thought a month’s rest would help me, and had about decided to go home with brother [1508] and wife for a little visit…but since I rec’d your rdg. have given up my visit now until I am through with all these treatments and my ears are better, anyway… Dr. Oldham did not want me to stop the osteopathic treatments, said he’d rather I take a tr. or two a wk., so I guess I shall take another month.

“Dr. Beazley said I had a perforated ear drum, but he thought he could save my hearing. It is still running. Have to change the cotton all through the night. I have been using glycerine and carbonic acid, but am using only warm water with a little soda in it now…

“Dr. House (Thomas B. House, M.D.) has my rdg. and will get the Sulphur and Salts of Tartar for me tomorrow and tell me how to take it. I will certainly try to do as you tell me and I do hope I feel better before long.” [She sent money and asked EC to order the Radium Appliance for her.]
