This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 29th day of November, 1932, in accordance with request made by his father, Mr. [257], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 5:35 to 5:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [759]; this we have had before.

2. Now, the conditions that we find are the result of not carrying out those suggestions given for corrections when these were in their incipiency and being eradicated from the system.

3. In the present conditions, should there arise any infectious forces from the activities of those bacilli that produce or cause the enlarging of the glands, it would be rather serious for the body.

4. If there is the normal activity, without any congestion or infectious forces, these may yet be reduced - through those suggestions given - without the necessity of an operation. With these continued in their present condition, there will arise the necessity for the removal of the adenoids as well as tonsils. These are for a normal healthy development in body and mind, as we find, NECESSARY to a body. These removed may or may not be harmful to the better conditions of a body, for they are as the scavengers of portions of conditions for the system; they are as the activities for the relief of tension and strain in system. True, these cause often disorders and disruptions - but, had these been carried on out in the manner that was first given we wouldn’t have had this trouble now!

6. (Q) What will relieve the inability to breathe properly? (A) Take ‘em out!

7. (Q) What causes tickling in throat? (A) Irritation.

8. (Q) Do his tonsils need any attention? (A) This has LONG been given; and as in the present condition, they certainly need attention!

9. (Q) What causes conditions in head and throat? (A) Tonsils.

10. (Q) Is his present diet satisfactory for full and proper development? (A) Very good.

11. (Q) What directed play will be best for his health and mental development? (A) A normal activity in the open air as much as possible, provided it is not in association or connection with such that makes for infectious forces.

12. (Q) What special type of instruction best for his mental development for next 12 months? (A) That which budgets the time in play, activity, sleep, and the mental activity regarding all the things that are natural for a developing mental body.

13. (Q) What suggestions for his father [257] to carry out for the child’s proper direction? (A) First he should have carried out what has been given! Now, in the present, meet the conditions as they arise! As for the general applications for those activities, not anything that makes for the over-emphasis of any mental or physical activity - but NORMALCY.

14. (Q) For mother [903]? (A) The same.

15. (Q) What can nurse do to better aid the complete development? (A) Carry out instructions!

R3. 2/12/34 Father [257]‘s letter: “[903] is up and better. [759] and [773] still run fevers, [759]‘s is 101 degrees and [773]‘s is 100 degrees, but are happy and I believe better. The doctor says both have scarlet fever and they will soon peel - he will have to prove it to me, of course. [773] is laid up now 3 weeks and still has glands, [759] one week yesterday, [903] two weeks and four for me Sunday night. It has been 14 degrees here.”
