This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 28th day of February, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [779].

Time of Reading 3:00 P. M. …, Alabama.

1. EC: Now, we find in the physical the conditions are better than when we had them last, for the change in the upper dorsal and lower cervical are better; yet the condition that causes the distress to this portion of the body finds the return of those elements that produce the pressure on the nerve and tissue, giving distress to the muscular forces and the ligaments that govern or control same. We need more of the massage or osteopathic forces applied. Also more water in the system, systematically taken that the acid in the system may be dissolved, and the vibration from the electrical forces, as given, over these centers. Also over those of the lower dorsal region that all portions of eliminating system may have the incentive to function in their normal way and manner.

2. In the mental and spiritual forces of the entity at the present time, we find those well in accord for the developing of the entity, and only needs be kept in that straight and narrow way that gives to the soul and spirit force that understanding of self, and in this also will come much of the alleviation of those distresses as brought to the physical.

3. For the physical, do as we have given here, if we would bring the best to this body, [779].

R1. 6/12/24 Ltr. reported on wife’s rdg. 780-2, saying that their rooming house was practically full & that he had been doing some remodeling work on the place during his off hours: “You remember when I wrote you last [no copy in files] I did some boasting about myself, about not having any trouble with my neck. Well, that same week it began to work on me again and has kept at it up to this time. Will start the violet ray again & just as soon… [as possible] I shall go to Montgomery to get those rubdowns again. In every other way [besides the neck] I never felt better.” [He also reported on his employer’s condition - see 4499-2 Reports.]

R2. 7/19/24 “While on vacation I am going to have my treatment carried out further, &, too, I sent my violet ray machine away a few days ago to be repaired, to complete treatment the best I know how, as I realize that it should be done, because my neck becomes stiff at times but does not plain [pain] like it did for a while… I want to get me some of that Prickly Ash Bark [Simple formula for what later became known as Ipsab.] [as given in wife’s 780-2], to use on my gums - they are tender and tend to bleed some. I know this mixture will stop it, because it did before.”

R3. 9/1/24 “I am just doing fine as can be since I have had the 4th & 5th cervicals kept in place. I never have any pains in my neck. You remember in the rdg. it says permanent relief would not be until they were corrected from those points. So I am very thankful that I am again feeling more like myself physically.”

R4. 12/16/24 He obtained a Ck. Physical, particularly in regard to a hoarseness of the throat - see 779-7.

R5. 8/24/28 “I am having a good deal of trouble with pyorrhea again. I had this formula put away somewhere [see 780-2] so if I ever needed it I could make it. You know I had trouble with it once before & you helped me to get rid of it.”
