This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of September, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - through sister, Mrs. [678], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C.

1. GC: You will give the present physical condition of this body, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted regarding his condition as I ask them, with special reference to stone in right ureter and method of treatment for eliminating it.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [843]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, the conditions are developing MOST satisfactorily - if there would be a continuation of those applications which have been suggested, both as to the vibratory forces for the coordinating of the nerve forces with the Radio- Active AND the changing of the vibratory forces through the use of the Wet Cell or low electrical Appliance; as well as the Stupes.

4. As to what may be the change by the lack of such applications regularly is not indicated; for it will depend upon the reactions the body makes towards the activities necessitated in the moving about.

5. And as to the size and the position of same this is gradually (very gradually) disintegrating. There is NOT inflammation in the present, and it has NOT encased itself in the mucous membranes as ordinarily would occur in such conditions, but rather through the applications and the vibrations it is GRADUALLY disintegrating.

6. The conditions in the ability of the assimilations through the digestive forces or organs themselves are somewhat bettered.

7. That there are recurrent conditions of disturbance once in a while is much from the mental attitude, and the non-adherence of the body strictly to the diets indicated.

8. As we find, the better measures for the body would be NOT for movement - but these depend, of course, upon the choice of the body. But as we find, if these conditions and applications were kept for another period of ten days to two weeks, there would be every indication that there MIGHT be the elimination without any great disturbance to the disturbance in the urethra or bladder, and the changes in the conditions that have so long existed in the digestive system and the nervous system of GREAT improvements.

10. (Q) What is present location of stone in right ureter and has it diminished in size during the past six weeks? (A) As indicated, it has not changed so much in the position as it has in disintegration.

11. (Q) Will the stone pass within the near future without the aid of further cystoscopic manipulations or surgical operation? (A) This will depend upon whether there is such activity - as has just been indicated - as to AFFECT the activities WITHOUT applications regularly of those things indicated! For this is not indicated in the present, or it does not appear as to what the effect might be! It DEPENDS, as indicated, upon the reaction of the system, and how much exercise, how much activity causes changes to come about in the condition.

12. (Q) Is the stone causing irritation or infection at this time? (A) As indicated - AS HAS BEEN INDICATED!

13. (Q) Is the stone damaging my system to such an extent that it would be advisable to remove it immediately? (A) AS HAS BEEN INDICATED!

14. (Q) Should both Turpentine and Mullein Stupes be continued? (A) As indicated, keep those conditions that have been suggested - ALL of them!

15. (Q) Do I have any ulcers or lacerations in my stomach at the present time? (A) These are only TENDENCIES, or conditions where the application of the vibratory forces is to change same through the low electrical forces that HAVE bettered same! Disturbances arise, but these are from indiscretions rather than other conditions.

16. (Q) What causes pains and nervousness in legs and feet after going to bed at night and how can I overcome same? (A) These will only be overcome by the gradual use of same and rubbing of same at the times they cause disturbance. This is an attempt of the body to readjust itself from pressures by activity in the system owing to the highly nervous condition and sensitiveness of the body, through applications being administered to bring about adjustments and coordination in the system.

17. (Q) Is the Radio-Active Appliance which I am using in good condition? (A) Good condition, if the plates are kept clean or polished.

18. (Q) What causes the fears with which I am obsessed at the present time and how can I overcome them? (A) Only by changing the mental attitude. These arise, as just indicated, from the supersensitiveness of the whole body to the environments and activities that HAVE been about the body, see?

Then, if the mental attitude is set much in that way and manner as may be best obtained from the 14th Chapter of St. John, it would be the better. Read that before retiring. Read that when ANY fears come about; we will find a different attitude!

19. (Q) Would Dr. Alyea of Duke Hospital, Durham, N.C., be the best doctor for me to consult regarding my condition in relation to the stone? (A) If so desired, consult either of those there - if so desired.

The more probing, the more activity there is in the area, the greater will be the demand and the need for immediate operative measures.

R1. 10/10/38 Letter again requested Life Reading, saying: “The physical reading which you gave me on the 28th of last month was very good indeed, as you not only accurately diagnosed my condition at that time but your prognostic statements were highly encouraging, and at this late date I wish to thank you for the mental relief which your reading gave me as I am confident that it will not be long before I will be in good physical condition as the result of following your practical treatment suggestions.”

R2. 10/14/38 Sister [678]‘s ltr.: “He says he is following the Physical suggestions 100%. He is using both the Wet Cell and Radio-Active every day.”

R3. 10/18/38 He obtained 1712-1 for his little grandson.

R4. 10/19/38 He obtained his own Life Reading - see 843-9.

R5. 10/27/38 “All my time has been taken up going to see three doctors in an effort to determine the real significance of a recent urinalysis. I have decided to wait a few more days before permitting the doctor to give me another cystoscopic probing.”

R6. 11/29/38 Sister [264]‘s ltr.: “He has stopped his treatments again. He got worse after he got home and sent for a doctor, who told him it was dangerous to take a compact on an inflamed condition, and that he could remove the stone after two more treatments. Wish [843] could have spent a few more weeks in D.C.”

R7. 7/1/39 He referred Mr. [1945] for a Physical Reading.

R8. 5/20/43 See 843-10, in re heart condition.

R9. 5/26/43 Sister [678]‘s ltr. under 843-10 Reports seems to indicate that he never had to resort to surgery for the stone in ureter.
