HLC: You will have before you [845], nee […], born November 12, 1898, in Pasquotank County, N.C. You will give specific and definite information regarding her Egyptian sojourn, her activities and associates; together with the influences and urges prominent in the present from that sojourn; and how they are to be met in the present. You will advise the entity regarding these activities, and the urges and influences pertaining to her mental and spiritual development; answering the questions she submits regarding her experiences and associations. You will go into these thoroughly and give definite information that may be easily understood, paralleling the associations then with the present associates.
-
EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [845].
-
In giving the record of the experiences of the entity through the Egyptian sojourn, that there may be the paralleling of same with the present experiences, - much of the history or background of the happenings of the period would be well, if there would be the correct interpretation in the present.
-
For, as we have indicated, the experiences of many in the present period of activity - it might be said are - drawing upon that sojourn; or individuals are meeting themselves in their activities of that called the Egyptian land.
-
And, as just indicated for the entity, there have been and are the associations in the present with those who become as personalities for the entity. Hence it is well that the entity, now, have some interpretation of the activities through that period; that the entity may be warned, or apply same according to its own choice in the present as respecting such associations and relationships.
-
The entity entered into that period of experience among what might be termed in the present the first families of that land; the entity then being a daughter of one of those acting in the capacity as advisor to the King - or a counselor.
-
The entity, then, came into associations and contact with those especial factions (as they became later) connected with the religious portions of the activity.
-
With the banishment of the Priest, the entity was among those who chose to leave the home land, even at the separations from some of its own household or family, and went into exile into the Nubian or Libyan land.
-
There the associations with the Nubian prince [416] brought about those varied activities as were related to many of those who became followers of the Priest.
-
With the return of the Priest to power, or to authority in the attempts to correlate those activities and to settle those disputes that arose from the political influences from the Native rebellions as well as the Ibex or the Younger Brother Rebellion, and then the entrance of those groups from the Atlantean land, - the entity, as Se-Fith-Eza, had more of those activities in the Nubian land; becoming then the Queen of that land, with the association or companionship with the Prince of that Nubian land.
-
While those close associations were kept with the developments and activities in the various channels through which groups were prepared for activity, the ENTITY’S greater period of activity was in the Nubian land - but keeping the closer associations with the activity in Egypt.
-
The paralleling then of the activities were the interests of the entity, in the varied individuals that were a portion of those developments in the Temple, especially in the Temple Beautiful; also some of the groups in the Temple of Sacrifice.
-
Hence group activity, the dispensing or dispersing of the various truths, was the greater contribution to the Egyptian development, - as indicated from the entity’s own offspring becoming one of those in authority in the Egyptian land, through the periods of the expansion of the tenets and the truths that were a part of the activities of those groups through that period.
-
In making application of that gained through those periods of activity, - the choice as to associations is within the individual entity. Varied problems arise in the consciousness of each entity, not necessarily with the same individuals, but oft those problems are met with a group activity, or with those personalities that become individualized in individual souls with whom the entity may have come in contact or been associated.
-
For, many are the ones with whom the entity was associated that are a part of the present consciousness.
-
Hence, as might be termed from some angles of reasoning, the entity was destined to meet or to be a part of such associations. But what is destiny? This the entity used through its activity in that experience, and it is bound within self.
-
Abilities for organization, abilities for preparation of others, and assisting others, become then a part of the entity’s activity in the present. And these must be chosen from those various groups with whom the entity was associated or affiliated in that experience.
-
The entity was among those brought to the Temple of Sacrifice for rejuvenation, but such activities were not the full experience of the entity; not as a failure upon the part of the entity, rather the poor application of tenets by those in authority in the Temple of Sacrifice. And, as may be said in the present, - beware of operations!
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Regarding the statement in my aura chart reading [845-8] that I am now entering a period when there may be associations in the earth that may justify thought of that particular phase of choices made in the Egyptian period, - give names and explain the associations referred to, so I may avoid any unwise choices now. (A) As just given, the association was with the Prince and those connections and relationships with same - in that experience.
The entity’s acquaintance with that same entity in the present may, if so chosen, bring such relationships in the present. As to the wisdom of choosing such, that must be within the entity.
-
(Q) Please clarify as to what was meant, regarding certain factors that might become a part of my experience. (A) As just given, the same relationships as the wife of the Prince of Nubia!
-
(Q) Considering responsibilities in connection with my niece, […], please give past associations and best manner of making our present set-up a mutual and constructive influence. (A) These, as we find, have been in more than one. Consequently, we have a complexity of urges that oft arise.
While in those where there was the controlling force, as through the Egyptian sojourn, these bring compatibility. While in those of the experience before this, they bring almost the opposite - for they become a torment one to another.
As to how these may be made compatible, - as we have so oft indicated, magnify those agreements, minimize your disagreements; and we will find purposes may bring that activity as may become a constructive force in the associations one with the other. [GD’s note: This niece was living with Mrs. [845] while taking nurse training. In the early ‘50’s, Mrs. [845] visited this niece often and enjoyed companionship of the niece’s three little daughters. She often spoke to me of them and their congenial relationship.]
- (Q) What were the association in that period with the following, what are the present urges, and how may they be met for our mutual development: First, [849]: (A) In the Egyptian sojourn there were acquaintanceships, but one was the rebel - so far as the entity was concerned - and the other as a close adherent to those tenets to which the entity joined itself.
With those changes wrought, of course, and the separation of ideas, these became less and less those conditions that would bring differences. So in the present: There may be the appreciation of one for the other, but there will be no love lost between either one!
-
(Q) [2649], [present employer]: (A) In that period we find that the entity now known as [2649] was the son, and kept in those activities in which - as may be seen in the present - the entity may give the orders and they’ll be obeyed whether he likes it or not! And it will depend, of course, as to their constructiveness, upon the entity’s choice of such directions, and the manner and purpose for such activities.
-
(Q) [Brother of [2649], also present employer]: (A) Knew of, but not a close association. For he was among those of the Ibex leader’s followers in that rebellion. Thus always a question mark after many of those things and purposes in their relationships.
-
(Q) [My sister, [4137]]: (A) The periods of those activities through the Temple Beautiful, the dependence one upon the other. And these are answers as the far call at times one for the other. And yet there are periods, as then, when they must let each other alone.
-
(Q) [1523]: (A) In the activities in the Temple of Sacrifice. Thus the present activities of an assistance one to another, but separate - as would best be expressed, “By George!”
-
(Q) [2175]: (A) The activities here were all good. There were many visitations back and forth through those experiences in the land, because of the interest especially in their own offspring, and their advising one with the other.
These become strange experiences at times in the present, but they are very good for each other.
-
(Q) [2390]: (A) The associations here were more through those connections with the Priest, and the interest the entity AND the companion had in the activities of the Priest. Hence they always stand aloof from one another, yet are drawn constantly by the thoughts one of the other.
-
(Q) [1709]: (A) These were workings together, in their early experience; not so much in the latter. Thus they depend upon each other. [Miss [1709] worked with Mrs. [845]. On 11/4/1948 Miss [1709] married Mr. [416]‘s younger brother.]
-
(Q) [2154]: (A) In those activities when there were those preparations mostly for the activities in the various visits or sojourns of the entity, in that particular period of preparations, between those various group activities. Thus a guide, or a helpful force, when applied in direction - but they’ll neither take orders from the other!
-
(Q) [294]: (A) In those activities as the Priest, and the associations with the varied groups. These became the tenets of the entity, in its application through the periods of preparation, through those periods of application, and through those periods when there was the applying of the same in relationships to other groups.
Hence their activities may be in the present as counsel, as helpful, as influences for the assistance to others.
-
(Q) [My brother, [622]]: (A) One, of course, was as the warrior, the other as the combative force that drew them closer together. For, as there were differences of opinions through those experiences, because of their various views in those activities of the rebellions, those very differences in the present draw them closer together in their efforts.
-
(Q) Which counselor was I the daughter of, in Egypt? (A) Hasn’t been given as into a group yet, but one of those closer to and that made the preparations for the return of the Priest. His name then was Lud-so. When you find him, you’ll find your father! [See 845-9, Par. R1.]

R1. GD’s note regarding 845-9, Par. 34-A: Mrs. [845] met Mr. [5147] in January, 1946 and declared he was the one. See Mr. [5147]‘s wife, [5148]‘s Life Reading, on May 29, 1944, regarding [5147] being councillor to the king.
R2. 5/12/43 She obtained a Check Physical Reading, 845-10.
R3. GD’s note: Several years later Mrs. [845] and Mr. [416] built together a set of apartments and Mrs. [845] lived in one of them. Later Mr. [416] sold his share. They never married but were very close all through her remaining years. She served long and well all who knew her and was especially helpful in the work of A.R.E.
R4. 5/11/45 GD’s DIARY-LETTER TO A.R.E. members:
A note came from [845] enclosing a copy of her dream, saying “I finally did it, and I hope you will be able to use it to advantage. Sorry I don’t have the ability to dress it up properly in the best dramatic style. Because to me it was so real and personal I have felt consoled ever since, and that thought makes it possible to pass it on to others in the same ‘vibration’. This is it:
“We must all have asked ourselves WHY, when the world is in such a chaotic condition at this time, it was necessary for Mr. Cayce to leave us. Not just a superficial WHY but a deep, soul-satisfying questioning that can only be answered within our innermost selves. Of course, we all know that our personal sense of loss is a matter of selfishness that will also have to be settled within ourselves before we can pick up and carry on the monumental job he started years ago as a little boy, when he dedicated his life to a work which was little understood by the masses.
“It seems that I was praying particularly hard one night shortly after we had said good-bye to the earthly house that we had leaned upon since the first time he was able to supply the answer to the apparently unanswerable questions we were eternally asking.
“We were again at the funeral, but it was being held outdoors. We were standing in a semi-circle around the casket as if we were waiting for a ritual to begin. Suddenly Mr. Cayce started slowly to rise from the casket, and as I was standing in the front row I wondered ‘What next?’ while feeling a sort of ill-concealed excitement. Immediately he turned the upper part of his body in my direction and pointed his finger straight at me. I thought, ‘This is it - I’m to be used in the experiment.’ He was looking right through me; he said, ‘Your name’s Haskett, isn’t it?’ I felt so terribly let-down that I stepped forward and said, ‘Mr. Cayce, you know this is [845].’ “The scene shifted and I found myself at the back of the casket when he was rising, and he seemed to hunch his shoulders forward as he explained in a patient voice, ‘You see, you have to break it at the 9th dorsal.’ I recall seeing Hugh Lynn bustling in and amongst the crowd, and Mrs. [303] came over and touched my arm as she said, ‘Girl, you and I are in the same vibration.’
“I told a few close friends about the dream and puzzled over it a great deal. The dream had come to me on a Monday night. The following Saturday afternoon I picked up the afternoon paper and saw where a local boy by the name of Haskett had been killed in the European theatre on January 5, 1945 (the very day on which the Va. Beach funeral service was held for Mr. Cayce).
“I do not know this boy or his family, but I believe that I was witness to his crossing over and that I actually saw Mr. Cayce in the act of welcoming him on the other side.
“So I have my personal answer as to WHY Edgar Cayce is now doing an even better and bigger job on the other side.”
R5. 5/28/46 Reply to HLC’s request:
Dear Hugh Lynn:
My experience with the children’s group [in 1938-39] was such an experimental thing that I almost hesitate to pass it on to anyone else as a practical suggestion. However, inasmuch as I was responsible for sowing the seed, guess I will have to reap the results.
To begin with, the idea belonged to the babies themselves. As you already know, quite a few members of our family have been active in the grown-up groups for quite a few years, and it was quite natural that we discussed some of the tenets and teachings that differed from the strictly orthodox. This was going on from the time [324] was an infant, and so she was growing up right in the midst of a viewpoint that was slightly different from that of her playmates. Of course, she accepted these things naturally.
As seems to be the rule with old maids and childless people generally, I am very fond of children and quite often they reciprocate. This particular “batch” lived either in the same apartment we did or right in that block, and so we were all very good friends. As was perfectly natural, they had their little petty hates and jealousies, and so I had to act as arbitrator on many occasions. Finally, after pinning the guilt on the proper party one evening (to everyone’s satisfaction, including the victim) [324] suggested that maybe they should start a group. I managed to conceal my surprise, for that was the first time I realized that indeed, “little pitchers do have big ears”. With a poker face, I hope, I agreed that maybe that would help - provided they take all the responsibility of conducting the affairs of such an important organization. They were to take care of such big details as the membership drive for an initial meeting, after which details could be worked out to everyone’s satisfaction. I explained that I was tired in the evening and had not time to do the things for them that they could do for themselves. And so - that was the beginning of WEE GROUP #1.
Believe it or not, that first meeting was something to pray over. They came at 7:30 P.M. sharp on a Wednesday evening, not all dressed up as for a party but every face and hand clean as a whistle. We elected officers and decided to hold a weekly meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 P.M. every Wednesday. They were simply precious. Children love organization and they have marvelous memories. At the beginning, I didn’t know a week ahead what would be done the next week. I just had to “use what I had at hand”, with the sure knowledge that when more was needed it would come. It did. I worked that memorizing faculty overtime, they not only memorized all the affirmations (for which they received a gold star) but learned verbatim the definitions of such words as “channel” and other words unfamiliar to six and eight year olds. To vary the program, I actually took liberty with Holy Writ, and read New Testament the stories of Jesus’ miracles and then told the stories as if the characters were next door neighbors or members of our families. I never pointed out a moral, but told the story - and then left the results with them. That lasted for a year, and then several of us moved away to another part of the City.
One thing I learned is that children cannot be treated as a mass, they are individuals and they usually measure up to what is expected of them. I did cater to that sweet tooth by always serving some sort of refreshments, maybe only some small boxes of cookies. At Easter time, the bunny rabbit provided a small Easter basket with all the trimmings and at Xmas time, they gave the presents. As you know [1775] was born Dec. 13th of that year, and having a Christ child right in our midst was too good an opportunity to waste, so we had a pageant. They planned their own costumes - towels and sheets for the Wise Men, a yard stick for a staff and a dog for the camel. They insisted on rouge and lip stick make-up (I never have known why). We “borrowed” the new baby for thirty minutes and the show was on. They used my bedroom for a dressing room and to wrap the presents for the baby Jesus (I found Xmas stickers and tinsel around for a week). We had safety pins for the gold, some Johnson’s talcum and baby oil for the myrrh and incense. And believe it or not, the infant knew what it was all about, she stopped “yelling”
till the last song was sung and we returned her to her very anxious Mama.
We always opened the meetings by repeating the Lord’s Prayer and closed by repeating the affirmations in the lesson which we happened to be studying. This was done by appointing a leader for a given period, and the rest of us chiming in. We religiously kept minutes and took a free-will offering of pennies. It was tactfully suggested that the sacrifice of pennies from one’s own money was preferable to soliciting donations from parents each Wed. evening.
As I said before, I hesitate to recommend the above procedure, as I have no way of knowing whether any permanent good was accomplished or not, but I do know we had a lot of fun, and if any of your inquirers happen to love children, I’m sure they will enjoy the attempt as much as I did. The necessary ingredients being six or eight children between the ages of 5 and 10, living fairly close together, a little patience and an awful lot of love for the little angels. [845]
R6. 2/27/62 She died suddenly with a heart attack. Having watched dear ones, including her brother, [622], die slowly with cancer, she had prayed that when her time came she would go quickly, and she did.
R7. 4/65 GD’s note: Mr. [416] gives a scholarship each year to A.R.E. Summer Camp in memory of Mrs. [845], since she had been especially interested in this phase of the A.R.E. program.
