This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of March, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [849], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Hugh Lynn Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Margaret L. Harrington and Curtis Hudgins.]

Time of Reading 4:15 to 4:25 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. In this house.

  1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [849].

  3. As we find, conditions are developing to that degree wherein it is the more necessary for the body to make special effort to exercise.

  4. Exercise regularly, when at all practical. Do a little bit more each day. Use the muscles of the arms, as well as the lower portion of the body, in the exerciser.

  5. Also it is necessary that there be kept the full stimulation for eliminations, with the adjustments osteopathically. When such administrations are given, keep the centers in the hips and the head of the sciatic stimulated; relaxing the areas thoroughly with the use of the compounds before the adjustments are made.

  6. The centers in the cervical area too, now, are in those positions where the applications of the heat should be made, as well as upon the limbs. For, as these are gradually giving way or breaking up - the tautness - we find that the manipulative measures to stimulate ganglia will assist the system in adjusting itself and responding even better to those administrations made, see?

  7. These as we find are those activities necessary.

  8. A little later - within the next twenty to thirty days - we would skip a day or more from the Venom. Not that this is to be left off, but make the injections farther apart. Get a full physical response, even though it become necessary to have the extra amount later or to have the injections closer together. But this, as with all activities, is to allow the system to respond to the activity of the organs and their functionings throughout the body.

  9. Keep most all of those things as we have heretofore indicated.

  10. Ready for questions.

  11. (Q) Just how much exercise should be taken each day, particularly as related to bearing the weight on the foot? (A) If it is taken one minute today, make it a minute and fifteen seconds tomorrow! and then a minute and thirty seconds the next day! Then it may be necessary to go back to the one minute, see? Vary according to the ability, but FORCE self to take a little more exercise each day if it is practical.

As we have just indicated, the body is not to give way to the feelings of just lapsing; neither is it to SO exercise as to bruise or to sustain greater pain than it can bear. But there are the needs for the flow of the nerve impulse, that there may be the greater flow of the blood supply.

  1. (Q) Has the foot recently had too much exercise? (A) No; this is more from cold than it is from exercise.

  2. (Q) Are two osteopathic treatments a week sufficient? (A) Well, these COULD be added to! but if these are given thoroughly each time, it should be sufficient.

  3. (Q) Any other suggestions for diet at this time? (A) No - keep in those ways so that there is the well balanced diet; but keep up good eliminations also.

  4. We are through for the present.
