This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of March, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [852], through Active Membership of her uncle, Mr. [419], in the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Vivian Doxey, Frances Y. Morrow, and a Mr. Crane.]

Time of Reading 3:15 to 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ky. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

  2. Many changes have come in the general physical forces of the body from that as we have had heretofore. Most of these, as we find, are an improvement in the general physical forces of the body.

  3. Had there been the full adherence to those suggestions given, as to the application to the body of the low electrical vibration AS these changes came about, we would find a greater improvement in the general physical condition.

  4. For as indicated in those portions of the system where the segments have shown pressures, in the lumbar and lower portion of the dorsal area, as they are loosened, and as the changes have come about in the assimilations from the activities throughout the whole system in the changes wrought, and in those reactions from the conditions as to the general eliminations - relating not only to the alimentary canal but to those activities through the genital or the recreative forces in the body itself, a condition has been produced in ganglia wherein there are the tendencies for nervous reaction - or what may be termed commonly as tic, or nervous rigor, or jumping or jerking that occurs over the system. There is an incoordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal reactions; the imaginative forces through the sympathetic system and the physical reactions in the physical activities of the body.

  5. In the manner as indicated we would use the Wet Cell Appliance for building up the coordinant forces; using same at times as a balancer in the same manner as the Radio-Active Appliance - but then use same about half the period as would be the ordinary Radio-Active, so that we would keep the nerve forces reacting in a normal way and manner.

  6. Of course, keep up the osteopathic coordination through the relaxation and manipulation - at least once a week - for keeping a balance.

  7. Keep the diet in those forms and manners as indicated.

  8. Use the Atomidine in very small quantities, one minim (drop) each morning before any meal for five days; rest from same five to ten days, then take again in that manner.

  9. These applications worked TOGETHER will create a normal balance. These working NOT together will overemphasize activities that bring about such reactions as are indicated in the present.

  10. Ready for questions.

  11. (Q) What will improve my sleep at nights? (A) The Appliance.

  12. (Q) Is Dr. Beard giving me the proper treatments? (A) Very good; if the other suggestions are followed - or if the other things are active with the general conditions, as indicated.

  13. (Q) Am I keeping an equal balance in my diet now? (A) Very good. We would only add the salts or vitamines that come from crushed whole wheat as a portion of the diet occasionally for the morning meal, and these would be more helpful. For the iron, silicon, vitality combined in these elements as a portion of the diet will be most helpful.

  14. (Q) What can I do to improve the condition of my hair? (A) As for this particular condition, it arises from a poor circulation. Once a week we would wash the hair with a very PURE soap (preferably the purest, which is Castile). Then massage into the scalp very small quantities of the White Vaseline, each time after the shampoo. The next day clarify same with a twenty percent (20%) solution of alcohol; GRAIN alcohol, not wood or denatured. These used, as we find, will make for the better conditions; and will tend to make for the natural curl, the natural texture and strength of the hair itself.

  15. (Q) Is the new hair coming in curly? (A) This may be indicated that it is NOT, though the tendency is in that direction. Those things as indicated may be used to INDUCE such a condition, if it is so desired - the application of those things that have been indicated. [[1800] series, etc.?]

  16. (Q) What can I do to make it come in curly? (A) As just given.

Use those Appliances as indicated, as combined with the general influences from the treatments as well as the activities.

Keep in the open, to be sure, as much as possible. These activities will tend to strengthen not only the equilibrium in the response to the sympathetic forces, but will add to the general physical health.

The low electrical forces will aid. Do these as indicated.
