This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 27th day of March, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [951], through her mother - Mrs. [623], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [951].

3. Many changes have taken place with this body since last we had same here.

4. As we find, there are quite different conditions existent in the body as disturbances that need correction in the present.

5. The cause or seat of the headaches, and the painful experience at the Periods, lies in a pelvic disturbance that should be corrected; else we may find the tendency of the womb itself to adhere to the side of the walls of the vagina may produce conditions that will call for operative measures.

6. In the present we find that with the proper adjustments in the lumbar and sacral area, with certain forms of douche, we may correct these disturbances and alleviate those tendencies existent in the body in the present.

7. We would have the corrections made, osteopathically, in the sacral and lumbar areas, and from the 9th dorsal downward. To be sure, when these corrections are made, coordinate those from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cervical to the base of brain, with corrections made. But in this particular body, do make the corrections in the sacral, lumbar and 9th dorsal FIRST, or in each treatment give those corrections first, and then those in the head and neck in the latter part of the treatments.

8. Have these rather in series. Take about six to eight in the first series, and rest from them for about a week to ten days; then have the second series. Then rest another period, and then have the third series.

9. In the meantime, do have - at least every other day - the vaginal douche. To be sure, these are not to be taken during or at the periods, but every other day except during that time, see? using only a Fountain Syringe, and the first time use Atomidine, - a teaspoonful to a quart of water, body temperature, stirring well. Retain as much as practical at the time. The next period, use a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline to the quart of body-temperature water. Alternate these. Reverse each time, see?

10. The Atomidine will act as an astringent, and prevent irritation and adherence of tissue, also aid in healing.

11. The Glyco-Thymoline will act as a cleanser and a reducer of acid, thus allowing less irritation from the activities of the disturbance that has been existent with kidneys.

12. The disturbance in kidneys, as indicated, should be corrected with the removal of the pressures in the 9th dorsal; that will clarify the circulation between liver and kidneys, and aid in bettered conditions.

13. When there are the periods, - and when there is the headache, or the cramps from the reaction in the organs of pelvis, use heavy salt, heated, and applied in a pack or pad or bag, at the pubic center.

14. Also, at such periods, take internally at least an ounce of Watermelon Seed tea. This would be prepared by pouring an ounce of boiling water over a teaspoonful of seed crushed or cut or ground very fine, letting this steep until it is palatable or sufficiently cool to drink. This will aid in correcting these conditions.

15. These will prevent disturbances later on, and keep better body conditions.

17. (Q) What is the bladder condition? (A) As indicated, this is irritated from the improper coordination of circulation between liver and kidneys. And it causes the superacidity which produces the irritation and burning in the activity of the bladder itself. This is NOT a bladder condition, but a reflex from those secretions from the liver.

Do as given and we will bring better conditions.

18. (Q) My Life Reading suggested the wearing of pearls next to my skin for the healing vibration. Does the pearl necklace I’m now wearing help or hinder? (A) When its vibrations have taken the body-forces, it will be well. Or if the body would demagnetize the necklace as it is, it would be more helpful for the body. Do not touch with same, but expose necklace to the ultra-violet ray for one-tenth of a second, or as a flash. This will demagnetize it and set it for better body vibration for this body.

R1. 4/6/43 Mother’s letter: “What would my little girl and I have done without you?”

R2. 4/12/43 Mrs. [951] wrote that Dr. Robert L. Taylor had referred her to a Dr. Webb [Henry D. Webb, D.O.] and she was trying to see him. (“He too specializes in proctology.”)

R3. 4/30/43 “Have been going to the osteopath I mentioned before and yesterday I would have ordinarily been down with one of the terrible headaches, but I didn’t get a headache at all. It was my birthday and instead of being sick in bed I went to a birthday luncheon… Have been doing all the things you told me to do and I feel fine. I don’t tire as easily and feel much better generally…

“Haven’t explained all about you to the doctor yet, although he’s following the tr. as I told him to, but think I can tell him by easy stages and he’ll understand. Thank you so very much for everything. Guess you know I think you’re pretty wonderful…

“Was so happy I had no headache I called Mother and Daddy to tell them.”

R4. 6/12/43 Mother’s letter: “[951] is feeling fine but is suspicious that she is pregnant. If anything happens you will hear from us in a hurry. You are a very good doctor.”

R5. 7/12/43 “We’d better be getting a rdg. for [951]. Has had no more headaches until this past Sun. she was in bed all day and was sick (only bile came up). Some aromatic spirits of ammonia helped her, it seemed like a bilious attack. In the rdg. let’s ask if she is pregnant or not, if there is congestion or something causing the soreness in her breasts. Should she finish her osteopathic tr. of her last rdg., as she has had 12 of the 18 recommended. In moving she has missed her third series of tr. She has gone to work in a jewelry store, very nice work and very nice people, but is on her feet most of the time, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M.

“Kidneys are still active at night. Is her pearl necklace alright now? She has been a little nauseated some mornings - sometimes after sitting quiet on getting on her feet she has a pain or cramp like a catch, but is gone in a minute. If she is pregnant, can you tell us the sex of the child? (I am in said jewelry store writing this. [951] looking over my shoulder says, ‘and what should HIS name be?’ Grandma prefers girls - Ha! Ha! Just so all goes well is all I really care. We left […] [[951]‘s husband] in the woods in Tenn., a few mi. west of … on Sun. P.M. Mr. [2461] is o.k., working and playing golf.”

R6. 7/26/43 “[951] finally got into an M.D.’s office here and he thinks she is getting on fine (gave her a shot for the nausea), has been lightheaded Sat. & Sun. So sorry we cannot get her rdg. soon, but I don’t want to crowd you. Save the Sept. 4 date for her and we will do the best we can.”

R7. 9/4/43 “Hope we have a lot of information about [951], for she was different in April - she began to get sleepy in the afternoons, some soreness in the breasts and period was very slight, but no headache as you remember, so whether this started in Apr. or May we do not know. I never have felt very sure about the whole thing.”

R8. 9/6/43 EC wrote Mrs. [623]: “Had wire from [951] but could not undertake to locate her on the road, so of course didn’t include her in the rdgs. gotten that day. Please have her let us know when she is one place long enough that we may get the ck. up.”

R9. 9/16/43 Mother’s ltr.: “She has felt life - Sept. 4th about 11:00 A.M., just the time you had set for her rdg. Wasn’t that odd? Says she is feeling fine, but you know she has not had one urine analysis yet. Well, if her feeling life was half her time, brings it about Jan. 15th or 16th for the birthday. […] [Her husband]‘s birthday is Sept. 16th; so from guessing and [951] larger all over, I think it may be a girl and look like or be like […] [her husband].

“I am surprised if [951] expected you to get her on the road travelling. Had expected to stay in the hotel room, but their time was getting short, so how it was I don’t know.”

R10. 9/17/43 Mrs. [951]‘s letter: “I seem to be getting along alright, but the baby has a tendency to stay down too far which makes lots of pressure on my bladder. The headaches are better, haven’t had any for about a month. Went to an osteopath here the other day [H. M. Dawson? D.O.], the only one in town.”

R11. 9/23/43 “Went to the doctor on the Post and had a complete physical. He says I am alright; and about five months. I have some cold yet, but feel alright. The one osteopath here is an elderly man and not very thorough. I know the baby is too low as it gives me bladder trouble from pressure.” [She submitted questions.]

R12. 9/30/43 She & mother referred Miss [3252] for rdg.

R13. 10/26/43 Mother’s ltr.: “Am home again in…Ohio - we got [951]‘s house in order…Am sure all is set this time to be at home. Am sure she is anxiously waiting… She went to Dr. Alden L. McGowan [D.O.] while here for some treatments.

He put everything up higher and in place, relieved her headache and nausea - seems to be doing very well (when things stay in place), but if they drop she gets the headache.

“We wonder how far along she is; we are not sure if it will be Jan. or Feb.”

B2. 3/19/43 Ltr. from mother, Mrs. [623]: “She feels better in many ways than she used to, but we want to get a ck. rdg. because of these headaches. The last one on the 11th and 12th was more severe & effects of it, or an edge of it, has hung on. Headaches have been once a month at period times, so we thought of waiting till near April 5th. As she has some headache today & last one has not cleared up, waiting is perhaps not necessary. She has a feeling that there is some pressure causing some of the weak bladder control, & that there is some female disorder. Please check these. She is always very nauseated with these headaches. Well, am sure you will find whatever it is, so do not think of any other questions. I wonder if the pearl she has worn has helped? Interesting to know what the information has to say about it.”
