1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over years from present - ” - ‘36 - ‘35 - ‘34 - years of change - ‘33 - ‘29 - developments - ” etc., on back to birth date.)

3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [951].

4. In giving the interpretations of the records here, we find there is much that might be said in many directions.

5. These are chosen with the desire that the experience be a helpful one to the entity through this present sojourn, that the entity may fill those purposes for which it sought expression or manifestation in this present period.

6. Then, these are the influences as may bear in the various ways and manners upon the urges that are latent AND manifested in this present entity:

7. All that is beautiful of any nature is of interest to the entity, - whether it be a movement of an object, an animal, or the shades and shadows of any phenomena of the atmosphere; a painting, a song. All of these have a resounding vibration in the experience of the entity.

8. Cherish those that are creative, or that remind the entity of such, and of its relationship to the creative forces in the experience.

9. Look not upon, nor entertain, in mind or purpose, those only that arouse emotions that may be gratified in self-indulgence.

10. The pearl should be worn upon the body, or against the flesh of the body; for its vibrations are healing, as well as creative, - because of the very irritation as produced same, as a defence in the mollusk that produced same.

11. Those activities of the body pertaining to the emotions are well within the experience, - whether for physical exercise or for strengthening of the poise.

12. Hence the activities as an instructress, directress in any form of associations in which activities of the body are used as corrective measures or for improvements in poise or stature, should be a part of the experience.

13. As to colors, - royal blues, purples, violets, should be those most in the activities of the entity; rather than mingled colors; though soft shades are also helpful in the experience.

14. The astrological aspects, - know that these are but urges. While they have their influence, they do not surpass the will of the individual, - that gift to each soul, enabling it to manifest in environs in the mental, the spiritual or physical realm of activity.

15. Venus, Uranus, Jupiter and Saturn are the leading, or the more impressive activities in the experience, from the activity of the entity’s experiences or sojourns in the material plane.

16. Oft has the entity entered, or manifested; and thus the body - physical and mental - is emotional in many directions; as may be indicated from its appreciation of beauty in all of its forms, - whether the colors in the rainbow, or in the aurora borealis, or in the power and might of a locomotive, or the movement of a swan upon the water, or the denizens of the deep or the lake or the forest, or whether the movements of the serpent upon the rock, or the eagle in the air, or the fleetness of the hart. All of these, as indicated from the many sojourns, have a definite motivating influence.

17. As indicated, let these be stepping-stones and not stumbling-blocks in thy pursuit of the awareness as to the relationship ye bear to it all.

18. In Venus we find the beauty, the romance. As indicated, from its powers of attraction the entity may hold its own under most any circumstance; yet it desires rather to take one apart, than to appear before the masses. Not that it would shun same, but the abilities for the impressing of those promptings as to the emotions of heart and body are much more easily expressed alone than in or among throngs.

19. We find in Jupiter the power and might of attraction; the abilities to meet situations.

20. From Uranus we have the influences towards the occult, or the mystic, or psychic forces; and these abilities are to be reckoned with, within the experience, - for these take hold upon the SOULS, and direct the spirit of individuals, as well as being far-reaching in effect upon others who may be prompted by the activity and the experience or life of the entity itself.

21. Then, see that all ye cherish of such, or even entertain, are from that source in which creation itself finds its answer, - in Him; He alone that is able to keep that which is reckoned and promised in the purposes of individual lives.

22. From the extremes that arise within the realms of these associations, the entity is oft misunderstood; and the associates and friendships are strained or broken, from reasons that are not always reckoned by the entity.

23. Know, no soul has ever had so many friends that it could afford to lose a single one; nor yet such a covey or number that it could not add another friend, without even lessening the strength, the love, the power of friendship for all.

24. For, love - as friendship - grows by being showered upon others; as He so thoroughly demonstrated in His experiences in the material plane.

25. From Saturn we find the definite changes of outlook upon all phases of human experience; high, low. Those that are hopeful, those that are pessimistic have been and are a part of the experience.

26. Let each experience, then, in its own way, find a usefulness in thy judgement, as well as application of such.

27. For, know, - in Him and His ways there is ever a constructive purpose; yes, in His commands, - and these are “That ye love one another, even as I have loved you.”

28. What then is the purpose (ye may ask) for this particular sojourn, - the lessons to be learned, the stations to be gained, the awareness to be found?

29. As indicated, these may best be summed up from the virtues and the vices that have been a part of the experience through the material sojourns. For, quite varied indeed have been the material sojourns in the earth.

30. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, in those early days of the settlings in the land, - when there were those activities for establishing permanent residence in the land.

31. The entity was among those peoples who settled nigh unto the land of the present nativity, or birth; in the name Jean Cowper.

32. In the experience the entity gained through those periods when its activities were such as to induce individuals, or youth, to prepare themselves - in the physical as well as mental educations - for the bringing of others into the experiences to carry on.

33. Thus we find the entity acted in the capacity not so much as a social worker, nor yet as a school teacher, but rather as one who waited upon many through those associations with the companion, in ministering to the needs of the peoples in the communities.

34. In the present experience from same, then, we find the ability to establish the home, - as well as to be an instructress for the development of body, in recreation as well as for poise, for manner, for speech; and in such physical activity becomes the NATURAL outlet for the entity in the present.

35. Hold fast, ever, to EVERYTHING that is creative, constructive, and of spiritual import.

36. Before that we find the entity was in the French land, during those periods when there was the preparation for those activities in which peoples of many lands joined in a common cause for the preservation of an ideal, - or in the periods of the Crusades.

37. There we find the entity was a man, and active in the gathering together of groups.

38. In the present, then, the entity loves a parade; loves the dress of unusual nature; liking unusual foods, or dishes prepared in unusual manners.

39. These became a stumbling-stone, for they wrecked rather the physical health of the body during that experience, - as Mengel.

40. In the present experiences these have brought the innate, and at times manifested, desires. Beware of entertaining these too often.

41. Before that we find the entity was in the English land, or RATHER a portion of England and Scotland; for it was during those periods when there were many changes in the activities of the land.

42. There we find the entity, as Margar, was not exactly a pawn, but one over whom many disputes arose, - because of the close associations of the entity to those in power; and the hand was sought by the many.

43. This the entity loves, even yet, too much. Keep rather in that position, that way and that manner, in which the pure, the simple, the beautiful, are the motivating influences in the experience, - as well as in the associations and the choice of associates. Friends, - there may be the bountiful number. Close associates, - these should be chosen rather not because of being a helpful force for self in a social manner, but because one may be as the help, the aid, the strength for the other.

44. Before that we find the entity was in the northern portion of Egypt, and of the Abyssinian land.

45. There we find the entity was a soothsayer, - in the capacity as a gazer at the stars (as would be called in the present); as well as a worker in patterns in the sand, that would indicate such influences in the experiences of individuals.

46. Know, - there are the dark, as well as the light, sides of every question; as well as in every life.

47. As is indicated in self at present, - so oft does the self find, when it analyzes an experience in which it may have been engaged - an evening with friends, a conversation with a stranger, a meeting with groups, - it is never quite satis- fied as to the way self acted, or as to what self said or did during the experience.

48. This arises from these realizations that oft self, through the very mysteries that were a part of the experience as the nomad - Maza was not sincere, and oft the expression was turned to that which would appear to be the more convenient, or easier for self in the experience.

49. Well that these be ferreted out, in thy own experience in the present; and only that which partakes of the spiritual forces in the life allowed to be a part of the occult, or the soul, or the psychic forces in the experience. For, these may be used ARIGHT and AWRY! Know that the soul is eternal, and words often have double meaning.

50. Before that we find the entity was in the Promised Land, during those periods when there was the building of that which was and is a mighty influence in the relationships of man to his fellow man, as well as the relationships of man to Creative Forces.

51. There we find the entity was among the children of Jacob, and the daughter in that experience, - one among twelve sons; and she whom Shechem sought, and over which much turmoil to Levi and Simeon was brought, owing to the conditions which arose through those activities as they journeyed in that land from the Arabian.

52. The entity gained and lost; and there are those experiences that arise accordingly in the present, from the activities in that sojourn, - as to its relationships to individuals, owing to the social status, and owing to those conditions which arise in the activities.

53. Hold fast to that which is the purpose, and the promise. Remember, thou hast the promise within thine own self; and it is not as to who will descend to bring a message, or who would come from over the sea that ye might hear or know. For, Lo, He is within thine own heart, thine own consciousness. In thine own body temple has He promised to meet thee.

54. As ye have experienced the awareness of the arousing to healing, know that He IS life.

55. Then the name was Dinah.

56. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there were the turmoils and strifes which arose through those activities of the King and the Priest, and the banishment of the Priest.

57. There we find the entity was among the daughters of the Priest in those periods when there was the return and the building up of those activities in which there was the establishing of the Temple of Sacrifice, the Temple Beautiful.

58. The entity was reared in that Temple Beautiful, for the preservation of those activities in which there was to be rather the pure strain of the pure blood.

59. Thus the entity rose to one of power through those periods, until there was the uniting with that influence which arose from the Atlanteans that brought the children of Belial’s seeking for self-indulgences.

60. The name then was Is-Tu-Bu.

61. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, - and that to which it may attain, and how:

62. First, what is thy ideal - spiritual, mental, material? Is it constructive, and in keeping with His law throughout?

63. Study to show thyself approved unto that; one not ashamed ever; keeping self unspotted from those things, those experiences, those activities that would shame or cause thee to be afraid.

64. In material application, - fields of activity pertaining to recreation, dancing or the like, are an outlet for self.

65. The greater activity is in the building of the home.

66. Ready for questions.

67. (Q) Where is the man whom I should marry? and how may I meet him? (A) This should be the natural consequence of associations in thy social and everyday life.

When thou hast fully prepared thy body, thy mind, for fulfilling the duties of home building, he WILL appear.

68. (Q) What is the rest of Dinah’s story? (A) Read!

69. (Q) Was I Mirza in Morocco? (A) Read that which has been indicated.

Follow those things as ye will find them here. These as we find are in keeping with much ye have experienced, and much ye may experience as ye study same.

R1. 10/10/39 Mother’s letter: “The rdg. came and we have read and reread. It is very good and interesting and good spiritual advice. It straightened out some names which [951] had slightly wrong. I like the idea of a pearl, if set in a ring it would not touch her; it seems to me it would have to be a pendant.

“We sat with you the hour 3:30 to 4:30 [on 10/3/39]. We opened with prayers and very shortly Moses appeared. [951] saw him; he had on a white robe and had a long white beard. A shepherd’s crook in his hand, and he said, ‘Lo, I am with you, my rod and my staff they comfort you.’ She says he looked a lot like Father Time’s pictures.

“I had overlooked or forgotten the Bible says they took Dinah home with them, so I guess she was their old maid sister. I want to say old maid aunt, and I have been told I was an illegitimate child of Napthali and Dinah tucked me under her wing and was a good friend to me and we have been together since, except when she came to earth as a man against my advice; she or he had to go to war and was killed so no more being a man for her. This lady got some of her information astrologically.

“[951] had gotten Mirza (Maza) herself, also Margo (Margar) of England. Long stories to each of these.

“We also had gotten it that she had lived in Penna. but we did not have the name.

“It is all very interesting and I hope very helpful to her as she travels along. Thank you so much.”

R2. 10/10/39 Miss [951]‘s letter to EC: “Dear ‘Thad’: That no doubt sounds strange to you, and it does to me too, but just as I started to write you I sort of choked out the word Thaddaeus, and I feel you were he. I don’t know, but I could have been healed by you then, and knelt at your feet at that time. I have a sort of comfortable feeling about it as I think of it. What do you think?

“I found my rdg. very interesting and it is very satisfying to know that some of my own experiences tally at least in part with some of those in the reading. It told me many things to do in a spiritual way, but I seem to be here to accomplish very little in the way of work. It’s pretty hard to just sit still.

“Our trip to Mich. was lovely. I’d like to live out in the woods there for about 6 mos. The air and the sky at night are crystal clear. The stars are so plain you feel you could reach up and pick them. I like to fish a little, but I run out of patience, and too I just can’t bait my own hook. It would hurt me to hook a minnow and even a worm has a right to his life - for all of me anyway. I guess I don’t like to fish very well.

“This letter may seem incoherent, for I am very worried about a friend in Calif. We’ve written for 3 yrs., and now for 6 wks. I’ve had no word. My letters unanswered, and a night letter undelivered. He has a pay ck. waiting for which he hasn’t called. His mother hasn’t heard either but she thinks he’s coming home and so isn’t worried. Even the police have been unable to locate him and have been looking for 4 days. It seems he just didn’t go to work one morning and from there on he’s lost. I’ve known him well for about 8 yrs. and so I am pretty upset. Maybe if I can hold on to my faith long enough things will be alright.

“Thank you ever so much for my rdg. and I’m sure it will help me both now and later. Where did I know you, do you know? Maybe you can figure out the Thaddaeus story. Love to you and the family.”

R3. 10/14/39 EC’s letter:

Hello - how are you this morning [951]. No not ‘Thad’, he is a young fellow [361] that was very much smitten with you when you were here - tho don’t believe you even met him. Guess it was his talking about you on the 10th that brought him to your mind. O you are getting good, but another indication - or to me at least - that you will have to be very selective, with the vibrations you pick up.

According to the information in my own reading as compared to yours - you were my daughter in Egypt - guess that is why there was such a feeling for you when first heard from you - and when really met you here this summer. You must have been with H. L. in France or during that experience as he was a Crusader also - will be most interesting to compare notes some time, just think what a story can be written some time of the various periods - like Egypt and as the information says this is the Egyptian period again for those about me. What a story it will make of the associates, families, and what not of that period. Have seen some very interesting ones thus far - so not that you are my Daughter of old you have to think on me a bit more - how is that?

Your love of the country comes no doubt from some of your experiences in the period just before this in Ohio and Penn.

Fishing - well if there is one thing I like to do it is fish. Believe they were made to supply man food - for HE went fishing with Peter, and at least another time? He met them when several of them had been fishing - the morning when He asked Peter if he “Loved Him more than these” so that is my excuse at least. Not easy in a way to destroy them except for food and the sport of the catch. Don’t know that my excuse is valid or not but is the best have for such feelings about something like to do so well - and persuade myself it is a very fine one.

Well so many find just being patient and being good for something very hard work, you were such a lovely daughter as I recall - you shouldn’t have so much WORK as one calls it now, but rather the example for others to aim at.

Certainly hope your friend has shown up - yes feel very sure he is all safe; certainly hope so. Had wire some months ago from a friend whose boy had done just about the same - she [823] hadn’t heard from him [820] in three weeks - wished me to tell her something - and peculiarly enough the son wired me and both wires were delivered together, tho she was in Oregon and he in Texas, so only needed to relay his wire to his Mother. Hope as good news comes to you and yours about your friend.

Hope your reading helps along the way - most every one say that an occasional reading over brings new lights - try it once and while, and let me know, be glad to tell you the story of any of the experiences in which you were a part as we have them thus far, that you would like to know about.

R4. 10/14/39 EC’s letter to Mrs. [623]:

Glad to have yours of the 10th - just hope that [951] will experience the same as so many tell us they have with their readings - that is: it grows more interesting as time goes on.

Yes - dreamed of [951] last evening - and of fastening just the right pendant round her neck - it was a pear shaped Pearl hung in a circle of gold but the pearl hung something like a clapper in a bell only there was just a circle of gold - wish might present her with such - but know will never be able to. Such a lovely experience.

Must have been a very inspiring experience - Moses appearing and speaking as he did. No - it is not my understanding from the Bible story that Dinah was an old maid at all - but the union of the peoples of the land with the Hebrews.

Very interesting how similar the names were in several incarnations as a young man, who is very scientifically minded, says wonder who is right. Names not so important as to periods and activities.

Just hope the information will be a helpful influence along the way for [951].

All the better here - think I feel like a new man, and Gertrude is much better.

R5. 12/29/39 Miss [951] wrote expressing appreciation for the great help EC had given her, physically, mentally, spiritually.

R6. 3/16/40 Mother, Mrs. [623], wrote about their studying astrology and numerology under a Mrs. Blue, who had progressed EC’s chart and had it on the board in class for discussion. “Pluto has to do with kidnapping and shows from its position in your chart, your voice was kidnapped and you went over and got it - a new way of expressing that incident, perhaps, but as good as any.”

R7. 3/19/40 EC’s letter:

Dear Mrs. [623]:

Glad to have yours of few days ago - we are still on the mend here, tho think I have taken a bit more cold, hope can throw it off tho with out its getting a hold on me.

Quite interesting having my Chart on the board for study. When we lived in Dayton there was a gentleman there who was quite a student of astrology, used to see him quite often, have forgotten his name - but remember one evening he was at our home, and was going through some of his books studying my chart, when he suddenly looked up and said - well yours is one you will never see on a board for study before a class, then after awhile he remarked no, no am all wrong about that, you have such an unusual chart it is one that should be studied by every class, and venture when ever one has seen it

• he will often put it before his class. So now it has come to pass.

Very interesting - about voice being kidnapped - might be presupposed a benevolent entity - or might be saying HE would have HIS way with me - wonder which it was.

Certainly will appreciate any report you can give me on it; don’t know whether told you of this experience or not - but the first time my chart was read was in Dec. of 1918, and was read by quite a noted Astrologer on the Rio Grande. He seemed to think it very unusual and sent it to quite a number evidently. Any way without asking for it had some 15 reports from all parts of the country - or world - all agreed that on the 19th of Mar. 1919 could give the best reading would be able to give that year - between the hours of 8 and 11 P.M. of course tried it [See 254-2 on 3/19/19.] not publicly as most of them desired that I do, but a private reading. And it was the first intimation from a reading of Re-incarnation ever given - many say that was one of the most important readings that I ever gave - there was a good deal of prophecy in same also - some that hasn’t come about as yet

• no time was set for the part that hasn’t shown up - tho all the rest has happened: Hospital opened, closed and all. So you see why would be of special interest to me, and will appreciate any part you care to send me that Mrs. Blue gets.

Will begin with the reports on the studies next Tuesday - a few more to hear from and have set that date to begin reports

• but most have voted to include the study of the entire Scripture - so will begin with Genesis.

Have set the date for the talk in N.Y., it is to be Monday evening Apr. 15th - Oh yes might ask Mrs. Blue if that will be a good date for me.

[3/16/40 Mrs. [623]‘s ltr.: “Would a strand of pearls work just as well for [951] - they are more inexpensive and not quite so dressy.”] Don’t think the strand would be as well - but if don’t find the other that would be a very good substitute I think.

We had two days of very fine weather but is raining again today and is dark gloomy and quite cold. Have noticed a few buds appear on trees and in yard.

Hope this finds Mr. [2461] better - be glad tho to try and help if needed.

R9. 12/19/40 Mother’s letter: “Never have gotten to tell you we found a necklace with a pearl, not quite as you dreamed it but answers nicely and she likes it. She says what do you want Santa Claus to bring you?”

Dear Mr. Cayce and All:

If this is full of question marks and so forth, please excuse; for I am certainly an amateur at typing.

I am reading my book of Poems one at a time, so that they will last longer, and then I shall re-read them as I need them; if you know what I mean. Sometimes I wonder how you ever thought to send me poetry; for I love it though few people know that.

The weather here has been unusually mild, and so it hardly seems possible that Christmas and New Years are over and we still have no snow.

Soon I shall start my new job, as mother told you, and since it is the kind of work I like best; I am sure to like it; however I am not sure how I shall keep from telling people to “Write to Cayce.” The Doctor is an Osteopath tho and that is a little relief, since I won’t have to hand out packets of pills.

I am trying to do what seems to be required of me, but at times it is hard to figure out just what it is. I feel like I am following the end of my nose. (Since it isn’t very big, at that rate I won’t go very far.)

Am hoping that I will be able to get my vacation in June, or else I won’t be able to come to the Convention. This is certainly a little early to be thinking about a vacation, isn’t it?

We all hope that Mrs. Cayce is feeling better by now, and that everyone else is well.

I haven’t heard from Mr. O Neill as yet, tho perhaps I will later.

Wish we could have been there for the Dedication of the new building, it must have been lovely, judging from Tom’s speech.

How is Tom getting along now? He’s better I’m sure, and pretty soon he will walk alone. Wish I could be a little mouse that day, and peek.

R11. 8/23/41 She obtained a Ck. Physical - 951-5, which advised that she go to the mountains for her health.

R12. 9/17/41 Letter from Calif: “I am really not homesick at all, as it is so beautiful here in the mountains and I have made more friends in a week than I’ve ever had before, I think. Have been horseback riding once with Lieut. […] of the 11th Cavalry. Saw a lovely canyon never seen by a white man until the cavalry came. It’s back of here in the Indian reservation, a really lovely spot. Looks so fresh and unspoiled, just the way it must have looked the day God put it there. Sunsets here are beautiful. I try to see the sun set each night; they’re all different.”

R13. 3/13/42 Mother’s letter: “I sent your reading [281-60] to [951] and she said it seemed to be just what she needed, and liked it.”

R14. 6/26/42 See 1776-2, Par. 17-A indicating former relationships of [951] and [1776] in [951]‘s early American sojourn as Jean Cowper.

R15. 9/8/42 Mother’s ltr.: “How odd [951]‘s name coming in a young man’s rdg. Too bad they never have met, if both would be happy… Aug. 20th the Calif. boy friend [Lieut. […]] was sent to …, Ky. So a wk. ago last Sat. she drove down to see him and came back on Sun. Now they are talking of getting married… It is a year Sept. 11th that they met.”

R16. 9/10/42 EC’s ltr.: “Yes, we were surprised also when [951]‘s name came in Lieut. [1776]‘s rdg. [1776-2, Par. 17-A] but he is a lovely boy. Guess I would think so, for he tells me I am the kind of a Dad he would like to have if he had one.”

R17. 10/6/42 Miss [951] wrote a nice letter to EC telling of her marriage to the Lieut. she met when she first went to Calif., to take place on 11/10/42, and inviting EC to the wedding.

R18. 3/27/43 She obtained another Ck. Physical rdg. - See 951-6, Par. 18-A indicating she should expose pearl necklace to ultra-violet ray for a flash to demagnetize it and better set the vibrations to her body.

R19. 10/30/43 She obtained her Ck. Physical 951-7.

R20. 12/24/43 Baby daughter, [3473], was born.

R21. 10/2/46 Miss Mary Ann Woodward, making a study of gems and stones from the EC rdgs., wrote Mrs. [951] asking for a report on her use of the pearl pendant as advised in the Life Reading.

R22. 10/16/46 Mother, Mrs. [623] replied: “[951] and her husband and baby have lived here the past year, and we have been very busy raising the baby…they are away at present on his ten day vacation.

“Yes, [951] wore a pearl on a necklace for about two years after Mr. Cayce’s reading told her to. She could not discern what it did for her, if anything. The necklace broke and it could not be fixed, so she has not worn it since. I was studying astrology at the time and inquired about [951]‘s chart. The teacher said there was a good aspect from the planet Neptune which governed pearls, so we felt Mr. Cayce was correct. Sorry I cannot tell you more. R24. 5/1/57 Mrs. [951]‘s reply to another letter fr. Miss Woodward about the pearl: “As I recall the ‘vibration’ of the pearl was to do something. Whatever it was, I guess it did it, for I have had fair health all these years. The pearl was not demagnetized - I just wore it as it was. I felt nothing and noticed nothing personally but chemical forces within me did eat a sizeable hole in the side of the pearl. I take it from that, that I absorbed some portion of it. Finally, the entire necklace became so worn I discontinued wearing it. (I also absorb gold.)”

I wonder if it is true that you can see your past life and lives, pictures, by sitting in a small, dark room, a white candle burning a few inches back of your head on a level with or so it can warm the back of your head, opening that camera or gland or subconscious mind, looking into a large mirror in front of you, the silvering acting as a silver screen. B3. 7/23/37 EC’s letter: “Many of the courses are very interesting. Have heard many ways and ideas presented as to how one might see or experience something of past lives. Have heard this as you give presented, with a little modification, but do not know how it works out. Were I to judge by my own experiences, many forms may be used, but the most successful one for me is to have two people who are sensitive to sit facing each other, their feet well set on glass, and then place the palms of the hands together directly in front of them; each then meditate, one or the other, and at times each will help the other in that they experience, or relate the experience. That may be very poorly described as to how it is done, but if you don’t get it will try and explain again. Ask me about it and will be glad to have the experiences you have if you try it. You can try this if you like, you and [951] should have little trouble, for evidently you have been together before, and these, if more than one, each of you should be able to get some part of it. Be sure and make a record of what you get each time. Though you may have better success with the suggestion as you no doubt received from the yogi. B5. 12/1/38 Mother’s letter: “I have done lots of studying in the last two years or have tried to. [951] has been busy with other things but started developing the first of last year. She went along so fast, she is holding herself back as much as she can, for we thought it might not be so good for her after those severe headaches developed [See 951-3 on 11/16/38]. We had an odd and depressing experience a few months ago. A friend of mine…who had gone mostly to New Thought Church, also a course of Dr. Holmes, seemed all at once to develop clairaudiently, then within three days her mind was unbalanced and she became desperate and had to be taken to an institution. This did give us quite a jolt. I have gone quite a few times lately to New Thought, they seem to think there is no heaven beyond ourselves. I understand that we ourselves are the answer, but I can’t understand no heaven or place of progression for the spirits beyond our bodies.

She senses things as well as sees pictures, and was in complete trance, went to Morocco where she used to live, thinks if she was there she could go to the place her body is buried. She saw that, her jewelry, etc.

“Four people talked through her, the first one Napoleon - she laughs about that and says that shows she is a bit off. But she is young and not as interested as I. I study and work and run to church, etc., and do not sense a thing, so I guess they will draw pictures for me.”

B8. 6/18/39 See personal message to Miss [951] in 262-121, Par. 8-A, indicating that because much had been given her much would be required. See personal message to her mother, Mrs. [623], in 262-121, Par. 7-A admonishing her to have nothing to do with the spirit denying that Jesus has come in the flesh; asking how she will furnish that room in the Lord’s house of many mansions, etc. [Miss [951] and her mother attended the June 1939 A.R.E. B9. 9/7/39 [951]‘s Mother’s letter: “To say we rec’d the Congress Bulletin and enjoy it merely touches the subject. First I want to thank you for our readings [messages] - what a beautiful gift, and priceless if we wish to make it so. I did not understand mine and mentioned it to you, at your house, but I could not make myself clear; neither of us, not having read it over at that time. So we drifted into other conversation. But I now know the answer and it is huge. ‘Will you sup with me?’ I thought I was trying by meditation every morning, but I know now it is by LIVING as Jesus lived, meeting trouble and LIFE, even WAR, as He met them, with calmness, love, wisdom, etc., counting only the sunny hours and forgetting the negative or dark things.

Dear Mrs. [623];-

Thanks for yours of the 7th and 8th-the pictures are very good-thank you so very much for sending them am mighty glad to have them sorry there isn’t one of you among them-Please tell [951] we just have to have a good nice one of her for our room, need it badly.

As wrote you last, if you do not get what you want from the Salzer Co. think we can get a few for you from our garden, so let me know.

Have heard that Mr. Hilter feels that he is the re-incarnation of Jesus and Julius Caesar, but as you suggest his actions might be more like Haman.

Do not feel from my own experience that Jesus is in a body in the earth at the present time, nor that he will occupy other than the Glorified body he took to Heaven with him-in that he may appear to many here in the earth from time to time, that is my belief from my experience in seeing HIM and from the Book also.

Am always please to hear from you all Mrs. [623] and it is no bother at all to me wrather enjoy the correspondence with all who I feel are my very best friends and of course count all of you among them.

B13. 9/22/39 EC’s letter: “Am pleased, Mrs. [623]. Just so you don’t feel I was trying to induce [951] to have the reading, but we can’t help but feel interested in people we think so much of as we all do of [951].

“Lucius - well, it is something like this. Some years ago, while in Washington, D.C., several mediums were present at one of my talks, and afterward asked me if I were Luke or an associate of his. Of course had to tell them never had anything that suggested such to me, but they insisted that I was, or an associate of his. Well, time went on, and two years ago was in N.Y. and gave a reading for a lady there, and a very lovely one, and the information said she was the wife of Lucius, and that Lucius was the one through whom the information was coming [See 1468-2 on 12/15/37]. Naturally had a reading on that experience [See 294-192 on 2/11/38] and asked why I had not been told of that experience before, and was warned that if had, would in all probability have had the big head over it, and must not let such be, else the knowledge would be harmful rather than helpful. So there you are - an associate of Luke, and bishop of the church at Laodicea, the church that was neither cold nor hot. Quite a bit of data regards the disputes had with Paul, as he seemed to think I shouldn’t have married such a young girl [1468] at the time, or so the story goes, and caused a lot of what would appear now needless discussion. What do you think of it?”
