This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Washington Hotel, Room 1105, Chicago, Ill., this 29th day of July, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [979].

1. EC: Now, we find the conditions in the body are in many respects in much more of an exaggerated condition than when we last had them here. Though the condition is improved from what it has been, yet there is much lacking in the system and prevents from the normal functioning. The anaemitized condition of the blood supply still prevents from having the nourishment to the organs in their functioning and prevents the system from regaining its equilibrium as thoroughly as it should.

2. We find the body has not adhered entirely to the conditions as were given to bring the equilibrium in the body, and those that have been applied have shown their effect, yet without sufficient to bring the body to the condition that it would meet the resistances and the forces as manifested in system.

3. To bring at the present time the better conditions to the body we would use those of the manipulation as applied by the hands rather then the vibratory forces, still using the electrical forces as would be applied from the violet ray, that we may bring more of the blood supply through the nerve reaction in and through the tissue in exterior portion, as well as through the deeper tissue. Apply across the abdomen very thoroughly, that we may awaken the functionings of the liver, spleen and those portions in the digestive tract.

4. Keep those as the diet as has been outlined. Do not take medicinal properties save as a mild laxative while these are being accorded the system at this time.

5. Do this and we will find we will bring the greater equilibrium in the system and start the forces to vibrating properly in this body, [979].

6. Do that. We are through for the present.

Yours just to hand. I’m glad to hear from you and to know that you are feeling a great deal better. I am of the opinion you will find someone there in Selma who can give you these treatments. From what I gather from this, the osteopath treatment would be a great deal better than the chiropractor, and I think there is one there. The violet ray you can get one of those machines yourself, and can treat yourself, even better than you would get from the doctor’s treatment, if you will follow the suggestions as given here. I am sure you can get a machine for nine or ten dollars. They have them for that here at the stores. As to the climatic condition, usually you know we find these questions are answered in the readings as they are given. However, when we check on this reading again we will ask this question directly and see if we cannot get the direct answer.

I am in hopes this finds you and Mrs. [654] still feeling better. Be glad to hear from you from time to time. I shall be glad to undertake the reading for [2657] the first time he can make the engagement.
