This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of April, 1938, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [257].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, New York. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1584].

  2. Now as we find, there are some disturbing conditions which prevent the better physical reactions in the body.

  3. These as we find arise from specific subluxations which exist in the activity of the nerve forces in their plexus and ganglia along the cerebrospinal system.

  4. We find that these subluxations exist specifically in the coccyx end of the spine, as from an injury of some character - sitting down hard or a fall.

  5. This produces a taxation and an unbalanced pelvic bone, so that a great strain is thrown upon the lumbar axis; thus causing reflexes through the Periods, and severe headaches that arise at times apparently by upset conditions through the digestive system - though the basis of these is from pressures in the cerebrospinal system as indicated.

  6. These naturally have reflexes through the plexus in the vagus center. Thus at times, with the very nature and character of the headache, the eyes and throat become involved in the condition.

  7. Hence, we would have specific adjustments made of the conditions in the cerebrospinal system, through mechano-therapy or osteopathy. Have these twice a week until at least six or eight are taken. Then leave off for a week or ten days. Then have another series.

  8. During the rest period from taking the adjustments (but NOT DURING the period of the adjustments) we would have a few treatments or applications of the violet ray (preferably taken by self), for stimulating coordination between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic system. Use the bulb applicator, and apply for three to four to five minutes each evening for the week or ten days when the adjustments are NOT being taken! Apply across the small of the back, along the cerebrospinal system and especially along the area between the shoulders, up to the back of the head, then across the diaphragm area.

  9. Then, after the SECOND series of the adjustments, we would use the violet ray occasionally; any time after that when there is the feeling of tiredness or languidness. But DO NOT use DURING the times the adjustments are being taken!

  10. As to precautions for the diet: We would find a much better reaction without the use of fried foods of any kind.

  11. Beware of those that carry quantities of the acids that are acetic in their nature.

  12. Doing these, we will find a better condition throughout, and the near to normal conditions returning for this body.

  13. The reactions to the lower limbs, the abilities for the mental AND the physical exertions in greater ways and manners will be aided.

  14. Ready for questions.

  15. (Q) Any advice as to where specific adjustments are to be made? (A) As indicated, where they exist! In the coccyx, lumbar axis and the pelvic bone itself!

  16. We are through for the present.
