GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
As we find, while there is a great improvement, there are still some disturbing factors. There is less inflammatory influence or force in the lower end of the duodenum and those areas where there is the entrance into the jejunum. But there is still some regurgitation from the duodenum to the stomach through the pylorus.
-
And as we find, there needs be more of the hydrotherapy treatments. Not too strong with the electrical forces that have been applied. These have been somewhat severe. Use the same KIND that has been used, but NOT so high NOR so much!
-
It is necessary that there again be more of the colonics, but farther apart. For where mucous is indicated in the colon, this needs to be removed; and this is the better manner, if it is properly done. These we would give now about once in ten days or two weeks, and after the second or third make them a month apart - unless there ARE accumulations from excesses in some manner, then give them oftener.
-
Have more of the lactics to aid in the assimilations, when large quantities of foods are taken; or the Alcaroid, as indicated. And less of sugars that make a great strain upon the activities of the liver as related with the pancreas and the activities through the gall duct area. Little or none of anything, then, like cake, or the combinations of such. Not that none would be taken, but none such as coconut, none such as any great quantity of preserves or puddings, or alcoholic drinks of any kind; though such carbonated waters as in Coca-Cola or the like would be HELPFUL, if they are taken moderately.
-
If all of these are kept, and keeping up the attitudes (which are much improved), these we find would bring normal forces for this body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What specific type of treatment should be given at Reilly’s? Please give details. (A) The general hydrotherapy treatments; colonics when needed; the hot and cold water - not too much of the dry cabinet but the general thorough massage all over, including the oil, - or the rubs with Pine Oils and the like; with, of course, the closing of the pores afterwards - and the low electrical forces, not so high as has been given.
-
(Q) What effect does the hay fever condition have on the stomach condition, and what should be done for the hay fever? (A) The drippings - or the natural flow of the inflammatory forces, which when taken into the stomach produce greater irritation. And this goes with the mucous, or aids in forming mucous; as did the cold that was had some ten weeks - yes, some twenty-eight weeks ago, see? that formed the greater portion.
Whenever there is the inclination for sniffles, or cold, the use of an inhalant prepared in this manner, will reduce this tendency for the inflammation from nasal passages or from the throat to cause disturbance:
To 4 ounces of Pure Grain Alcohol - in a 6 or 8 ounce container, with the opening sufficiently large to put 2 vents into the cork, that may be kept closely corked when not in use - add, IN THE ORDER NAMED:
Oil of Eucalyptus…20 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…15 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp…5 minims, Tolu in Solution…20 minims.
Shake the solution well and inhale mornings before any meal is taken, and evenings upon retiring, - or at other times if there is the tendency for sniffles or any erudition from the nasal or antrum passage.
-
(Q) Please give detailed diet. (A) As indicated, keep away from those things which we have just outlined. The general diet is very well, - these we would follow, rather than saying “I can’t eat this,” or “I can’t eat that!” Just leave off the sweets and the carbonated waters, save Coca-Cola or such, and leaving off any alcoholic beverages of any kind.
-
(Q) Any further advice? (A) Do these, and as conditions progress, - don’t leave them off because you feel better, but keep them up sufficient to have the removal of the causes of the disturbance.
-
We are through with this Reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 1/5/39 Mr. [1724] referred Mrs. [1782] for a Life Reading.
R2. 1/17/39 Letter from [1724] to EC: “You certainly are being grand and most helpful to me.
A change in my condition occurred which has made another check reading necessary before I undertake any further treatments.
The following questions might bring forth answers of aid to me.
What are the developments since my last reading?
Is former suggested treatment advisable at this time?
What can I do to prevent this condition re-occurring? Hugh tells me that a date is soon to be set for my life reading, which apparently is arousing warm interest on the part of a number of our mutual friends here. I had a vivid dream recently which seemed to have to do with a past incarnation and I have recorded it to see if you chance to hit upon this experience in the reading.
The radio program is clicking along. I wish there was some more definite assurance of commercial sponsorship but I have a good feeling concerning the show and its future.
My work with Mr. [1151] is a joy. If I find he has not sent you one of our January issues of the … Journal, I will put it in the mail. My warmest good wishes and gratitude to you!…”
P.S. “I will be at my home, …, on Thursday afternoon, January 19th, the time of the reading - 3:30 to 4:30 EST.”
