1. GC: What should be done for the rash?

2. EC: Reduce the strength of the feeding. Purify system with small and frequent (fifteen to twenty minutes) doses of Castoria. GRADUALLY increase the feed to its normal formula.

3. If this disagrees still, change the formula - under the direction of the physician.

4. We are through for the present.

R1. 2/8/39 EC’s letter to [480]: “Your wire came a few minutes after the afternoon reading so couldn’t very well undertake it until this morning - hope the baby is doing fine by this time - know just how uneasy you can get about them. Know am glad to try and help at any time - thanks and love to each of you from all here.”

R2. 2/8/39 Mother [480]‘s letter to EC: “Thank goodness for you and the wonderful work you are doing. We tried everything for [1788]‘s rash, EXCEPT changing his formula which was what I questioned the Dr. about all along, but she didn’t think that was the reason for the rash. We got the reading just before I fixed the formula so I immediately changed the strength and started giving him his Castoria.

“He’s so sweet and good. Laughs and coos all the time and he is so alert! When we change his diaper he gets such a kick out of it and giggles. Thank you again - I know we are on the right track now.

“About the life reading, [1788-3] [633] and I are so thrilled with it. We have quite an unusual career here - a horticulturist; there is nothing else I’d rather have him do. It means good contacts and a career in which one can try to find a deeper and more spiritual meaning to life. He was very close to Mother [601] during the period of David - and right close to you during the Egyptian period. Is he mentioned in your reading? Thank you!

“Did you know Dr. Thompson John R. Thompson, D.O.] was very ill? He has to be out of practice for six months. I’m very much surprised he hasn’t gotten in touch with you, but I don’t believe I’ll suggest it - he knows what he wants to do.

“Daddy [619] is out of town - business is so bad here, nothing doing at all, even in [633]‘s line. It’s been very trying for us these past few years - but our “SONSHINE” is so bright in the house now, we miss all the worries of the outside world and enjoy [1788] to the fullest.

“Thanks many times again for both readings. They are invaluable. Love to you all from us here…”

R3. 2/10/39 EC Letter to [480]: “Thanks for yours of the 8th - and just hope the whole trouble has cleared up with the young man, [1788]. Am sure he is just as sweet and cute as he can be. Mrs. [1100] says he looks like you, and if he does, know he is sweet. My, you both must get a real kick out of playing and caring for that boy, as all of them are problems, but are worth it all, am sure. Our youngest was 21 yesterday and should be through the University in June; but still a baby to us.

“Yes, - evidently [1788] was close to your Mother [601] - also to me [294] in Egypt. Am sure you will both see some interesting developments in that boy. Had a poser for me the other day - was reading to T.J. [Thomas Jefferson Davis] about Naaman being healed or being sick and coming to Elisha, he looked up at me and said, ‘Kakee [Cakey], he should come get a reading, that would cure him, like it does me.’

“Yes, Mrs. [1100], also Mrs. [1773] wrote me that Dr. Thompson was ill. Hope it is nothing serious.

“Business seems bad everywhere - some of it I guess must be the weather. But I’m sure you have sunshine in your home, with the Little man.

“Thank you. And all send love to each of you.”
