This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of January, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - [2543], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Taken 11:25 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2543]; this we have had before.

3. While the changes are slow, necessarily, we find that there ARE improvements.

4. When the conditions have been existent from the congested area as to destroy or block or hinder the activities in the sensory organism, then naturally the tissue becomes clogged and blocked about the head, the eyes, the ears. But there are indications that this is GRADUALLY being improved, by the administrations that have been made.

5. In the present, we would rest from the osteopathic manipulations and corrections for at least thirty days.

6. And occasionally (twice during the next thirty days) we would have a general hydrotherapy treatment. This would include a gentle cabinet sweat, not to raise the temperature too high but sufficient to make perspiration; followed by the Swedish massage or a THOROUGH rub with oils. This pine oil in the fume bath at such periods would be well. Keep this up, even after the thirty day period.

7. Throughout this period we would continue the use of the low electrical vibrations that carry into the body the solutions indicated. Have the Appliance recharged.

8. However, about three days out of a month, during this next thirty days, take two drops of Atomidine in half a glass of water before the morning meal. Don’t overtake this, but take it ONLY as indicated, - that much, no more, - and three days in succession, not three days scattered during the month.

This we would do each month, you see - three days in succession during each month, but beginning it this next month, you see.

9. After the thirty days, we would AGAIN have another series or a cycle of the osteopathic corrections; making these, then, once a week until there is the better establishment of the full activity in the glands and ducts about the head, the neck, the throat, the ears.

10. DO have the Eustachian tubes and their outlets GENTLY massaged.

11. Do these, if we would keep the bettered conditions for the body.

12. Be mindful of the diet. Keep away from hog meat. Have plenty of fish, fowl and lamb; plenty of fresh, raw vegetables.

13. And do keep that creative attitude of seeing the Christ work IN thee. And DO apply to those ye meet daily the same attitude of mind and activity ye would have thy Lord and Saviour have toward thee.

14. We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Thank you for the check reading, which came last Monday. I hoped it would say definite improvement had taken place, but I feel that some improvement has. I was unable to get the distilled water for the battery all last week because of truck delivery restrictions, so am planning to bring a gallon and a half of it from the laboratory where I work to morrow. That will enable me to get the battery ready to begin using by the tenth.

The person Dr. Kline sent me to for the hydrotherapy treatments is a beauty parlor operator - A Mrs. Hoff, of Hoff’s Beauty Salon, 336 St. James Building. The appointment for the first is for next Saturday, February 14th. She said she would give me a cabinet sweat, followed by hot and cold showers, then a rubbing with cream. Does this sound right to you? There are not many such places advertised.

I am enclosing five dollars on the ten I owe you for the reading. I’m sorry not to include it all, but I wonder if you will mind waiting until the first of March for the other five? I will send it to you then, and appreciate your waiting for it.

I was very interested in receiving the “war” reading [281-59], and will certainly try to carry out its instructions, and those in your accompanying letter. I am sure they will be of great benefit to all who try sincerely to follow them, and thus they should benefit the world.

I am glad you and Dr. Clark met in Norfolk last month. Have you ever seen Mrs. Sanford since the time she and I were there together?

Thank you for asking Mr. Godfrey to send the materials for the battery. It has been only the distilled water that has held me up.

I’ve been meaning to write you for advice about my next reading for some time, but have also hoped Dr. Kline would suggest how many treatments I should have in this series. I’ve had ten now, taking the first six two-a-week, and the last four a week apart except for a skip of one week when I necessarily had to miss a treatment. This is according to the suggestions you gave me in a letter of March 6th. Dr. Kline yesterday suggested that I keep on with treatments as now until about the first of June, and then have a check reading. Would that be your advice? Or would you suggest using the battery again before having the check reading? I’ve been taking the hydrotherapy treatments, as outlined in the last reading, two weeks apart, and think I’ve had six. I’m inclined to think they have helped.

I will be guided by your suggestion and advice about when the reading should come.

The wire attachments to the Atomidine and Chloride of Gold bottles I found to be eaten into, though not severed, at the close of the last use of them. Does that mean I should have new ones before using again?

It has been a long time since I’ve heard from you. I hope you, Mrs. Cayce, and all your household and family are well. Where is your army boy now?

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Thank you for your letter of May the eleventh. I had the thirteenth osteopathic adjustment in this series this week; the fourteenth will come on June 2nd, & if there are to be fifteen, the last will come about Monday or Tuesday of the following week, June 8th or 9th. I wonder if it would not be well to have the next reading by the tenth of June. Do you think so? The particular reason I ask it is that at present my vacation is scheduled to begin July 18th, and if the reading should advise using the wet-cell battery for thirty days, I would just about have time to get the ingredients from Norfolk, the new wires for the Atomidine & Chloride of gold bottles, & the appliance set up soon enough to give me the thirty days before July 18th. Please let me know when you think the reading should come.

I would also like to know whether, if there were any other abnormal condition developing or presence, anything other than the things aforementioned in readings, whether the reading would reveal it. I have been feeling run-down lately and my blood-pressure is low.

I am anxious to see the book, “The Search for God”, and hope it will be out soon.

P.S. I also wonder if the reading would say whether the osteopathic adjustments are all that they should be. I have no fault to find with Dr. Kline, but I am not capable of judging whether the treatments are skillful or not.
